Hello FIATians!

Hi.. This is Vijay currently in Bangalore soon moving to chennai. I am graduate in Automobile Engineering but working in Software :hit . I do not have any car now but planning to buy in another 4~5 months. I am a fiat lover rather I can say fence sitter praising on fiat cars but not owned. I have made some couple of friends to buy petra and palio when they took hyundai and maruti route. I discovered this site accidently while searching for 98 PCD alloys(gearing up for the new car). Now I knew why there is no FIAT questions and ownership report in the other forum ::OO . I am torn between Punto and Figo I hope this is the best place where I can get unbiased comments.

Welcome Vijay,yup,Punto is a good choice but if you want to pick from the FORD stable,you should wait 4 months for FIESTA hatch,which would be a better proposition(though more expensive)than FIGO,which shows cost cutting in every corner of the car
Of the other cars available at presnt you can have a look at Fabia and Polo,if you have a deep pocket to maintain!

 

Wow.. thats a super quick reply. I end up between punto and figo like this. I told to my wife initially I can spend only 2l for a second hand car, then felt push 2l more and get used elantra. Wife is against used car as we dont have any experience. Asked her if she is OK with the spark lpg. After seeing that she felt too puny and girlish ofcourse big Nooo. I didnt like any maruti cars all look small as per her criteria. She nod for swift but I dont like the camel looking face. She liked Logan a lot it doesnt look too big and perfect sedan. After looking all these Fiat bug bite me which reminded the superb handling and suspension that petra had. We used to do 160+ in pune - mumbai express highway. The tear drop design of punto is simply gorgeous compared to the boring looks of figo. I still have plenty time to decide and ofcourse valuable advise from the fellow brothers in this forum.

 

Hmm,got it Vijay,if you are going for PUNTO,you will get good discounts if you buy it in December.
Logan is a spacious car with good ride too,though it's about to get a face lift shortly
