    I have not used or heard of experiences of Dr. Batra's brand. Whether he is a quack or his brand is a sham is a question of debate. This is precisely the kind of debate we must avoid Sanfiat. :) You never know if someone might have actually benefited with some other medicine of that brand. If, however, you have very compelling proof that this brand of medicines don't work please present the same. Let opinions of others tally in this case. Hope you agree..

    Continued, advice to avoid a tummy
    Eat fibre rich food like vegetables that are rich in fibre like greens, beans etc.
    Each spoon of oil contains 40 k cal, so next time you see oil in any food be afraid.
    Avoid fruits like mango, sappota, jackfruit that are rich in calories.
    A morning walk for 45 minutes is a must.
    Before eating anything just remember that it very difficult to burn out the calories, for instance to burn out the calories from half a plate biriyani you will have to swim for 45 minutes.
    A big no to icecream,chocolates,sweets, cakes.
    A big no to hotel food, rich in oil, even worse it is reheated oil.

    it is another matter that I do not follow half these advices :)

    If all these advices did not deter you from you getting a tummy, alteast this should.
    Remember no girl will turn around and look at you if you have a tummy :(

    hey hey..simpleson, hold on pal. You seem to have taken it as a personal offence or something . Compelling proof as in court cases? I have just asked for an opinion. Proofs are in plenty. My colleague was given a year's medicine for 15 k. He continued for one and half or two years and then realised he ha sbeen conned. Thats what he told me. Another case i myself have tried homeopath ic meds and found nothing works out. So i just asked if others have same issues or not.
    We always support our Puntos and lineas , calling other brands as Tins and all. Aren't we degrading them brands. So what im saying is , take it easy pal. It's just some fun . Dont get into "Arnav goswami"mode for simple things . Excuse me if i sound a bit off.........happy motoring .

    My limited knowledge on weight management. Goes like this.
    No.1 issue : What we eat.
    We all need energy to survive. unfortunately due to indian food habits, most of our energy comes from Carbohydrates. We need to make our diet protien rich. reduce carbs, increase fiber. Try inducing Fish and chicken in your meals. If you are vegetarian, add Soya food to your intake, Cottag echeese moderately . Say absolute no to Bakery products, They are major killers.
    Sugar . Cold drinks stay away.
    Now. Little we realise that Salt is an even equal culprit. Not because of it's calories but becaus eit leads to unnecessary water retention in your body. And bad for your heart too.
    Invest in a steamer. Couple your steamed vegs with a piece of Chicken or fish. Boiled eggs.
    Keep a Protien shake handy incase you dont get enough time to find your right protiens.
    Dinner sby 7.30 pm Max. Avoid rice. Keep yourself to a fixed portion. Not helping as many serves as we like on the dining table.
    try peas, carrots.
    Avoid juices, have whole fruits.
    2. Walk, walk and walk. Not just morning . Walk to ypur grocery store. Walk to your barber. Walk to the nearest park. 45 minutes of walk at least once a day.
    We shall get along this topic more.....I hope zyada toh nahin ho gaya

    Ya beer has been known to Reduce body fat since time ages. It can make you get those abs grow like steel....haaaaaaahaaa...cmmon ganges. I cant help musing when i find another foodie like me who wants to eat drink, make merry and get thinner. Beer or any alcohal for that matter of fact can only make you fatter. Im still smiling as i write this. No please dont take beer if you wanna lose weight.

    A question to ENT consultants/Bala. :)

    Few years back on a routine health checkup, I was told by an ENT specialist that I have some kind of block in my nose (Left side) and that would cause me difficulty in breathing and that I would need a surgery. I then immediately went to consult with another specialist at Santhome and he also confirmed the same. But, another ENT specialist who is a friend of my father in my home town rubbished the idea of surgery and it is nothing to worry about and it is very common. Should I take more opinion, Bala?

    Ganges, Any high calorie food needs to be avoided and beer is no exception:p. Apart from tummy issue, beer asks kidney for overtime work and may even lead to stones.Drinking beer (usually alcoholic in India) to beat the summer is also a fake one that was spread to increase the consumption.Just business! No artificial man made is better than that we get from NATURE :cool:.Lemon juice,watermelon,papaya,pepper,small grain foods (Indian born grains ,not just plain white rice & wheat) are some specific substitutes.It is not just about tummy but the overall fat in the body that constitutes it.

    If you are really fat enough apart from just having a tummy , you may need to gym and undergo a protein diet (Am i getting deep here :D) that would do wonders.Just by doing stomach exercises would not do anything for tummy.Quality Specific Food + right amount of exercise (aerobic or high intense gym - ur choice) + Good SLEEP (top priority) is the basic combination for ages and definitely not just these belts and whatever the teleshopping stuffs.

    The following are the small grains that can be substituted instead of white rice and wheat.Please don't go for shortcuts (belts,beers;) or starvation).

    Slightly off topic but on beer. If anyone read Hagar The Horrible the comic strip in The Hindu today.

    HELGA: How many beers did you drink?

    For tummy reduction and general weight loss, naturopathy has proven to be best. It would mean fasting, change of diet, naturopathy treatments like mud pack, massage and body cleansing. I know individuals who have lost lots of kilos in 2 weeks.
