Have a doubt here .. so how is the spare key working here ? so there is chip inside that too ?

Think signed key means the impression it has in the key for starting the car.

Yes, the spare key also has the immobilizer chip embedded into it. Without this chip, the engine just won't start.

Agreed. But doesn't the immobilizer chip need a power source?

Once a key is inserted into the ignition lock and turned to one of the ‘on’ or ‘run’ positions, the induction coil that is mounted around the ignition lock sends out an electromagnet field of energy. The windings in the transponder chip absorb that energy and power the electronic chip to emit a signal. The signal is usually an alphanumeric sequence which is considered the identification code. The induction coil reads the signal and sends it to some type of computer device to recognize the signal. If the signal is recognized as being already in the computer’s memory the signal is accepted and other electronic components in the vehicle are set into motion to allow the starting of the vehicle or the continuation of the engine running.

Took it to the service centre. issue repeated and they have promised to get a replacement player.

What is interesting is they had this U type clips, which, was inserted to pull out the CD player. Are these easily available in market? any know place in pune.

this tool would be useful for making mod. like including the AUX In cable.

Now, have to wait for the replacement CD to arrive.

If nothing works, just try this before going for a new key.
Cut a metal washer to this shape. You can easily get copper/aluminum washers used with fuel filters and all. They are easy to file too.

I thought all the controls are handled by the BCM. Is there a seperate ECU for the airbags?
