My current setup for my Punto is Projector headlights with 55W 4300k HID ki.
I am getting "Check stop light" warning on MID. Any idea?
This suddenly came, and I guess after hitting brake. Could this be related to brake?
Maybe the brake lamp must have got fused. Do you get this continuously on the MID or intermittently?
It is continuous.
This is what I saw in the manual,
The warning light will come on
(some versions only) when a fault
to one of the following lights is detected:
– brake lights
– rear fog lights
– direction indicators
– number plate lights.
The fault may be caused byne or more
burnt lamps, a blow protection fuse or interruption
of the electrical connection.
I believe the error could be due to brake light/fuse or loose wiring.
Talking about HID and Projectors- I had been using Morimoto Bi-Xenon Projectors with 4300K 35W Bulbs in my Fiesta. I used that for 2 years and it was simply amazing.
After I bought Linea MJD in 2012, I was a little skeptical opening a brand new Linea Headlamp assembly because of warranty and hard glue used in it's seal
After 3 years of research and patience, finally I could get a broken headlight assembly and tried to open it on my Gas stove; I was surprised I could open 25% of the glass (of headlamp) as part of testing. This increased my curiosity and finally I am planing to upgrade my MJD's headlight to below:
1. In Low Beam reflector- Bi-Xenon Projectors with 55W 4500K HID Bulbs and 55W electronic Ballast. All Morimoto (H1: Morimoto Elite HID System).
2. In High Beam reflector- 35W 4300K HID bulb (yes, without projectors), with separate switch to used on extreme conditions on highways only.
3. In Fog 4300K 35W HID Bulbs.
4. Morimoto XSB LED Halos as Angle Eyes.
All cost around 550 USD including shipping.
It's planned for next Weekend. Will keep you posted on the progress
Is the brake light working?
I too got same warning and one of the brake light bulbs was blown, changed it and warning went away
Can we see the look of your new headlights, & Angle Eyes.
I am planning to upgrade my Linea's stock bulps with Philips Xtreme Vision (H7 for High Beam & H1 for Low Beam).
The expectation is for an improved lighting during rainy nights as I do lot of night driving on highways and country roads, can you help me with your feedback on how it would improve?
