Congrats Aniket. BNW seems to be the most widely chosen color. Where are the pics?

    Congrats,happy motoring.
That thud sound is common with Puntos,is it due to the spare wheel at the rear, which jumps and makes a sound?!

No sir. That thud is heard from suspension area and is heard only when the rear seats are not occupied.
I believe that when the rear seats are unoccupied, the rear shockers recoil at a good speed and the metal strikes when they reach back to their normal position.

But, when the rear seats are occupied, the suspension gets a bit pressed down because of the load and does not strike back since it never goes back fully upwards to its maximum limit.

In the pic below, I've shown coil springs but the thud may be coming from the gas filled shock absorbers. :confused

@PaddleShifter : very informative and crude representation.
The thud at the rear is normal , just slow down a bit more at the humps. One "issue" that I have noticed is unlike other cars Punto travels smoothly over huge pothhole, in effect none of us bother to slow down at these big ones, so I assume ,long term, all of us are going to have suspension issues earlier than the others. FYI, all suspension warranty expires at 30k or 35k km, so all those who are afraid of upgrading their Fiat shoes for warranty reasons just do it once you have done 35k, no warranty coverage after that.
