Can one here compare the above two (remap & the ECU tuning chip)? Pros & Cons? If no Cons, why wont everyone go for this? I remember to have asked same question a year ago - no answers then! If warranty is an issue, I can go for either after completing 2+2 year's warranty this summer!

Search for that on this forum. If I am not wrong... There is already a thread started long back on this forum itself.

    Cheers...

    1. No harm u can continue using elm327 all the time
    2. As far as u using performance tune mileage won't drop, it will only drop if u using strong performance tunes, and that also Lil bit, so its like give n take.
As @Naughty suggested, for stage 1 mods a remap is must, other option could be only explored after this

Flashing tool will cost u a bomb. Forget about that.

Regarding the link u posted I think its a gimmick kinda thing as any product regarding the flashing won't even come close to the price that link mention,
IMO it will only reset the ecu every time u connect which will in turn little bit more performance, though I could be wrong (even duplicate won't tools won't cost that much low)

@Pushpak: If cost is a very important factor then you can try viezu remap and they are available in Pune. They cost around 13-14k and they also have an ISO certification. They have their Facebook page as well so you can go through it.

Always have switchable maps, since you don't want to have brutal acceleration & power all the time. It's preferred to have atleast 3 switchable maps economy, Cruising, Power. But then swtichable costs money & what I've seen with the wolf maps it's more than worth it's 25k price tag, since they are switchable & undetectable too.

Piggy back systems esp ones which are cheap really damage the engine life... believe me I'm a sufferer of this. Earlier owner of my car used a similar system to fit CNG & fooling the ecu to pump up the power so a loss was not felt!! it damaged my engine head & gasket & I had to put a new engine. Anyway point is, don't be tricked by using these cheap boxes, remember you only get what you pay for.
