Do u ppl still believe the CL to be exorbitantly expensive ???
Fiat has done a huge blunder by providing wrong set of actuators in active models . However they have tried o keep the prices as low (hope its that not that cheap) . In early December Fiat had come up with a central locking for Active model which would have costed around Rs.22.5k .

..... To err is human[Fiat] to forgive is divine .....

Today I bought the recently launched Central Locking for the ACTIVE model by FIAT India.
Did not have time to get it installed, so I bought the central locking with me. I will go there in couple of days to get it installed. They were saying it would take around 4-5 hours to install it.

    Here are a few pictures:

Yes, it has anti-theft and immobilizer features.
  9. Gautam as far as i know all punto and Linea models come with rolling code immobiliser. You dont need a seperate kit for immobiliser .. this will only be the central locking kit

I have got it installed today.

Its a basic keyless entry system. You get 2 remotes. There is not anti-theft system. But the car comes with immobilizer installed.

The doors do not lock automatically when you start/move the car.

The system gives 4 beeps if any of the doors is open and wont lock the car.

    2 additional benefits:
Now all doors show warning on the dashboard if they are open.
Map light comes on when you open any of the doors. Earlier it used to be for front doors only.

All in all, it works perfectly as keyless entry, but there are no additional anti-theft features.
