hehehe...I can understand your "more relaxed trip part"
And I tried my best to convince my family, they only didn't come & tried to pull me out. I had to finally say "main to ja raha hu" After the meet, I waonder - was I actually thankful to them that they did not come?
Really missed you & Amogh.
On Write up, am not very good at it but giving it a shot. 1st the location.
Initially, the location decided was Lavasa. Just 2 days before the meet, we were wondering that - won't Lavasa be quite far for Mumbai members as it takes about 3.5 hours to Pune (from inside m\Mumbai) & then further about 1 hour for Lavasa - for a 1 day morning-evening trip ?
THen I remember a location Pawna Dam where I had been last year while at Lonavala. Absolutely scenic. Lush Green landscapes - you move your eyes around & what you can see is nothing but green carpet with beautiful landscapes. Some of the pics I posted of Linea in these landscapes got exclamatory remarks e.g. the landscape/ location is like switzerland etc ::T . So, quick change in plan, Lavasa was out & Pawna was in. Ashay quickly arranged with Big Wheels Motoring for the package for the group (Starters & Lunch - Veg & non-Veg & soft drinks - all unlimited). :clapping
Decided to meet & leave from Kharghar @ 9.30 am. As usual, it got late & we ended up leaving at around 10.30 am. In fact, I also reached late at 10.00 am. Raj was coming with me & it took him a while in cab to reach Kandivali from Borivali. Meanwhile when I was waiting I tried to diagnose & repair my Blue & Me which stopped working the very same morning :A
1st stop was at Food Mall after toll naka. Everyone arranged the cars in a curved line & I guess about to take snaps when rain gods started pouring in. Had a quick breakfast & started. Off to Big Wheels - this is covered well with pics in earlier posts.
We left Big Wheels at around 3.30 pm - 4 pm to Pawna. As mentioned, the route is awsome scenic. Reached Pawna & were looking for a place for photo shoot out (as the parking for a restaurant there which overlooks the lake/ dam was occupied). On the roadside also a few cars were parked. What was vacant was a big space in front of a big rock/ hill with waterfall. Why was it vacant? There was a deep pool of water between the road Y that vacant space. We tried to guage the deepness found it only half a foot, Ashay ventured 1st with his Punto with me following. One by one all Fiat's moved in her place & what you see as a result are the photo's of all Fiat's arranged in a curved hyperbole-kind line :clapping
We returned from Pawna from the same way we came. However, the other route which is Pawna to Lonavala town & thro' is even a better scenic beauty. But since, a few cars already went the other way, we decided to skip it for a future meet
A few Sasta, Sundar Aur Tikau pics from my humble Nokia phone-cam
