    During trip to chennai i got 17.5 kmpl with 100 % AC. Only occasional city driving. But recently that too after my third service i got 25.6 kmpl for a 90 km drive without AC. Thought it to be a fluke but again on the same stretch during a different time i got the same mileage. After third service i am getting 20 kmpl with AC. First time didn't think about taking a snap and the second time didn't have the time to take a snap of the multi function display.

    Planning to do a chennai trip in august will post the mileage with snaps

    p.s: During the 90 km drive i never crossed 80 kmph

    :danceMy 100th post.

  7. Punto 2012 - Mileage

    Hello Fiatian's....I have a quick question....
    My car's (Punto MJD) mileage stats is as below:
    NOTE: All numbers are with AC-ON -
    @city conditions:
    --> 15kmpl --> Usually it takes 1.5hrs time for me travel 12kms (daily) --> speed --> 20-25kmph

    @highway: My recent long drive of 750kms -
    --> 19.5 kmpl --> 12 hrs (with break) --> Speed : 100-110 kmph

    I would like to know...whether these figures are justified or not?

    Is the travel time of 1.5hrs and the distance 12kms for 2 way journey or 1 way?
    What ever it is, achieving 15kmpl in Hyderabad traffic is an achievement in itself. I am getting 11.5 kmpl for 60kms (2-way) daily drive in Hyd traffic. Time taken is min. 2hrs in the morning and 1.5 hrs in the evening.

    19.5 kmpl on Highways is decent enough, though there are many who get an average mileage which is north of 20 kmpl.

    Srinath, As Kiran rightly said these figures are very good IMHO.

    Especially citing the speeds that you have mentioned and time taken these are more than justified and very good FE figures.

    Ofcourse mileage better than what you have quoted are possible but with better traffic conditions in the city and lighter foot on the highway drive ;)

    Chill out and enjoy your ride you ride is returning good FE.

    During a recent trip to Shirdi & Pune from Thane for a distance of 615 kms I got an average of 19.7km/lts with AC 50% on. During the normal office runs I manage to extract 17km to a litre easily.
