Front Left turn indicator failing frequently

I had my left headlight replaced recently after a road accident. After a couple of weeks suddenly while driving I heard a beep that drew my attention to the display and it was showing "check left turn light" and the bulb LED (alert symbol) on the instrument cluster started glowing. Since this happened in the middle of the week and the service center is very far from my place I decided to check this over the weekend but surprisingly a couple of days later the problem got resolved without any interference. From then on this problem keeps coming and going on it's own and now is irritating me as I'm facing this for a month now. My first guess is this is the consequence of some shoddy fitting by the beautiful minds at BU Bhandari. I wanted to know if there is a DIY procedure to check the fittings and if somebody could explain it to me. Thanks in advance

 

Even i faced same problem if the warning light goes and come back again and again then there is loose connection on left indicator to confirm it when the warning light is on and that time u turn on the left indicator then the green indicator light in dash board will blink faster than normal and also see that any of the left indicator is not blinking so get it fixed or else after some time bulb will get fused as it happened in my case had to change the bulb.

 

I see the same symptoms as you have described. I was wondering if it would be an easy DIY job to inspect for loose connections so that I can escape the visit to the service center. If nothing works then I dont have an option but to take out some time and get there.

 

Well i dont know about DIY as servce station is near my house so i went there and got it fixed. which indicator is it backlight,on the side of doors or in headlight.

I had seen the service engineer remove the indicator bulb for my punto, and it seemed very very straight forward. He opened the bonnet and removed the bulb along with the holder without any screwdrivers or tools.

 

Well you can try re fixing that in my case i just tried to push the bulb for tighter connection and that stoped the problem but for few days only.

 

Its difficult to get your hands to the headlight indicator bulb.. Well i couldnt do it myself when i tried changing my Mini parking lights with Blue bulbs...Had to take it to a accs guy who did that for me.
