I own a Punto 1.4 Dynamic I was just wondering if it is possible to get the fog lights and rear wiper fixed. I gave a call to the BU Bhandari workshop at wakad and the person on the phone told me it would cost me 1 lac rupees  without any proper justification for the cost. He did however tell me that I could come over to the workshop in Wakad and he could then explain the details. I had expected it to cost abt 10k max but this price seems too steep to get head lamps and a rear wiper. My question is
    a) Has anyone in this forum done this and if yes how/where/when?
    b) What are the after market alternatives if any because I would like to have these on my car at the same time dont want to spend that much money.

1 L for fog lamp and rear washer/wiper. Its insane.

Fog lamp should be easily, price should be under 10K.
But fixing the rear wiper/washer might be bit tricky, but I am sure it will not be costly.

1L? That's ridiculous. I had in fact checked the possibility of purchasing an active model and then upgrading it for various other things (from the same guy in BUB). But I was advised by the salesman (from BUB again) not to do so as nothing can match the factory fitted things. That was 6 months ago. Even then I do not think the guy would have told me such high budget for such simple things.

Getting fog lamps fitted is easy, but the rear wipers may not be so. You may have to very well change the rear windshield glass, or drill a hole in the existing one, which can be tricky.
I think this system is connected to the front wipers and transmission as well - If you have the front wipers on, and then you engage the reverse gear, the rear wipers automatically comes on.
You will also need to change the combination switch unit and that can be a bit costly.
But still can't understand why it should be 1L. ::O But probably 30-40K is more reasonable.

I guess BCM is playing the role in higher cost for rear wiper and washer. As stated by another member Navendu, BCM for his car has been changed because of the issue in rear wiper and washer.

I think that you better not do that modification as it will be a big mess and such arrangements like rear wiper is best done as OE at the factory.

Getting fog lamps is no big deal. It costs around 4k and can be done easily at dealer level.
