After a long while, now my "SnowLeopard" on the banks of Dal Lake.
The full service is due to my Tjet but since the FIAT service centre is not available here at Srinagar, I'm not able to decide WHAT TO DO ? whether to go to Jammu or What? They are also not conducting a service-camp as well. Even I emailed my concern to FIAT-customer-services, but no responce from the nearest dealer.

 

Hi Can you let me know what is the average FE your getting ..?

 

Dear Anil, it is 12/13 km/l at average with more city driving. Highways here are NH1 type with city-like driving.

 

Did you get the T-jet serviced? Did Fiat respond to your concern?
The snow leopard needs to be kept fit and fine.

Thanks for showing concern. No, still I'm waiting for the Service-camp to be conducted by Jammu National Fiat (dealers at Jammu).They informed me in last Nov 2015 that they'll be holding the camp at Srinagar. Today I called them again, and the lady at customer care desk replied that there is not any programme ,till date, being fixed for the purpose. These people last time responded because I had coplained at FB page of FIAT India.
Now, I'll be changing M-oil, filters etc at a local auto service provided by an ex-fiat mechanic. But, the wheel allignment and other complex checks can not be done. This is very unfortunate with the FIAT-services. Once, National Fiat Jammu concerned told me that they were going to start mobile-van-service in Srinagar, but that is still a dream, I think.

I guess these people respond only by complaints. Request you to do so on Fiat's FB page. BTW what service is due, I mean how many kms service?

Is the weather too harsh making it not possible to drive down to Jammu for service?

 

Last time, in November ending 2014, the fourth paid service(annual or 15k KMs which ever is earlier) was done at Jammu.
Now, the fifth paid service was due in Nov/Dec 2015, though another 15k KMs are not completed still(odo reads about 40k KMs). It needs full regular check ups, M-oil/filters change, Spark-plug cleaning,AC-gas check, some minor wetness-issues in engine bay, wheel alignment/balancing etc.
During the winter season, snow is expected any time on the Srinagar-Jammu high way, that means you are held on road for two three days in very risky conditions especially when the wet roads are freezing to ice on mountain tops with high inclined roads. Even the weather is OK, it is psychologically hesitating,'what you will go for simple service to Jammu'.
