Na buddy , then lakhs of Swifts , Altos wouldn't have been sold. People are only attracted by the brand name/image and the herd mentality.

The ones who think different and independently can be found on TFI. ;)

    hey gurujinder,
    well said indeed!!!!!!

No of fiat car sold every month simply depicts only those many people left with a loving heart to

admire.perhaps, having mind of their own.

every fiat i see......something uncovers within me,

MSIL has good brand image still, Estilo or A-start don't sell much.
Ford had expensive car to manage image still Figo is selling like hot cake...
What I'm saying is people give treatment to the product based on what is offered..
I agree that brand image should also be improved. Ravi mentioned few points which does this...
My point was since small car is based on 500 platform hope we get enough space...
They are taking so much time to come up with small car, so they should hit sweet spot..thats my point...

to win in india fiat requires a small car with..

    ergnomic side :
good space at front as well as rear ,
lot of cubby holes for bottles ,mobile fone, pockets for pamphlets,
fresh and modern interiors (with more bling)

    on ride side:
good driving position for females as well ,
good visibility bigger wind shields and window glasses,
    soft or electronic( manoeuvrability)steering .
    above par fuel efficiency
    softer suspension (for indians)

finally priced below 3.0 lakh on road.

ultimately the above specs meets specs of a modern japanese or korean car and that is what indian masses likes

so fiat has to follow it or some miracle has to happen.

fiat 500 is again typically a two seater and costly .
even though i like fiat 500 for its looks but cannot afford it even for 4.5laks due to lack of versatility.

ps:fiat has to understand most of indians are not much fantasized on looks but eyes remain glued to pockets .

Use "Reputation" feature, than just writing one word etc.

    Then why to buy Fiat?

India is one of the biggest car market for future and every car will have its own space. Just get basic right.
    As VahanPujari mentioned earlier -
    - Remove small niggles
    - Provide spares easily
    - Advertise and Market aggressively.
