Hello, Balaji Motors, Mumbai is quoting 23k for the GC Upgrade Kit of Linea MJD (2010). So it is out of question to pay such price when everyone is quoting approx 11k+labour. I am taking up this FIAT ASS price issue with Fiat anyways. Where can I source the upgrade kit from Mumbai, Thane or Vashi. Please help car needs urgent upgrades. I can easily manage to get the replacements done if only the kit can be made available.

I think the total including labour is more like 18-20k rather than 11K.

    11k is for the Punto.

For Linea you would be replacing rear coil springs too. Check the labour costs, there is no standard defined and we are charged as they wish.

Check if doubtful items like elastic pads are included in the quote. They may or may not need replacement depending on their condition.

This is what Darshak paid, he as Linea 1.3 MJD, you can refer to his post in the same thread.

Thanks. My estimate was based on Shrikant's (Tron) experience with the GC kit upgrade. Elastic pads + link rods too were changed in his case.

It'll be helpful if everyone notes down what all was actually changed and if it was related to general change or as a part of GC kit.

You need additional bump stops atleast. If possible the anti-roll bar too.

But, am still running without changing both, will get the bump stops changed, will leave the ARB as such as the 2012 one is heavier, but of same dimensions.

You can buy the struts from KAVA and get it fixed at a cheaper rate.
Or as I did, get it from a TFIan who had downgraded the G.C to pre 2012.
