Fiat to upgrade ground clearance for older versions of Linea and Punto

Discussion in 'Fiat India News' started by abhinav, Jan 16, 2012.

  1. Had to sell my Linea

Major reasons which drove me to do this are:

    GC is too bad
When the car is loaded with full 5memeber, it scraps almost every single small bump i come across.
Hard clutch, i get really bad pain in my ankles driving it in city. :-(

    Even though i sold it..
Still v keen to buy the All New Fiat Linea, since it has upgraded features.

If this is the major reason, you could have opted for the GC kit and probably the new Clutch plates.

sorry. No idea of cost of gc kit for punto. Mine is linea.
  6. Hi Venky,

I had the GC kit fixed on my Punto.. Concorde Bangalore did the job.. it cost me around 14,000 inclusive of the labour charges.

The GC kit helps a lot especially if you have a family which is on the "healthier" side!

    Hi guys,
I have GP Emotion and it really hurts every time when car hits at the bottom. I do want to upgrade the GC however my friend who owns a garage says upgrading your GC will eat out your tyres sooner. Is it true, has any one noticed this.

@ops- Lovely pictures. great detail captured.
@rajtin - there is now reason why the tyres will be 'eaten' by upgrading to the new GC kit. frankly i dont see how the 2 are connected but i leave it to the experts to comment. i upgraded my mjd a while back and all that is getting 'eaten' are the potholes and the speed breakers in Mumbai, even with full load. no difference in handling of any kind. i fell in love with my car all over after the upgrade.
my mjd has grown 1 year 10 months (8 months with the new GC kit) and almost 26500 kms on me and All is well so far, especially down there.... ;)

No offence to your friend, but I will rate R&D of Fiat as much more trustworthy than opinion of a guy who may have never experienced the GC upgrade.
