11k for GC upgrade is super
Still no update on Fiat Facebook page about it
11 k seems to be too good to resist!!! Let's wait and see.
If this 11k news is true, then Fiat is really honoring the existing buyers with this pricing in my opinion.
11 K is very sensible price.
This is really a mouth-watering price. My Linea will have it.
11K is definitely manageable... Any news on what all would they replace as part of this upgrade?
hold on guys!! why are you thinking that 11k is low price?
Front shocks: Rs. 1600 each X 2 = Rs. 3200
Part no : 0051814579
Part : Rear RH Shock absorber
Price : 1,834.06 X 2 = Rs. 3668
So total = Rs. 3200 + Rs. 3668 = Rs. 6868.
Add some 2000 rs for various other parts if at all they are changing any.
with all the calculations its nearly evident that fiat are charging us the market price of shocks and not the cost price, which in my opinion is a bad move.
are they giving alloys too? if yes then blindly fall for this offer,
if not i request everyone to think over the costs involved and not make a propoganda that horray!! just Rs.11,000?
i would still hold on my comments till someone can actually post the parts involved in this upgrade.
Saw this on fiat india facebook page
Punto Petrol Punto Diesel
Front Shock Absorber Right 1 1 Rs. 1,990.00
Front Shock Absorber Left 1 1 Rs. 1,990.00
Front Bump Stopper L and R 2 2 Rs. 1,630.00
Front Stabilizer bar 1 1 Rs. 2,899.00
Rear Shock Absorber L and R 2 2 Rs. 2,390.00
Rear Spring Left and Right 2 Rs. 1,000.00
what the F is this. charging customers a direct MRP for that 1.2 cm which will surely dip with usage of just few months? or with load in the car ?
IMHO fiat should charge us the cost price i.e around 1200 for shocks. and 500 for springs.
i totally agree with italia linea. i dont see any reason why we should rush to the SC for replacement. upgrade only when the suspensions are due for change. or unless someone used the car over bad roads.
seriously you are right Karan, if at all i want to pay MRP why should i waste the useful life of current suspensions and add to the scrap yard junk.
and why all this circus? just for that 1.2cm? which will anyway lower within 1-2 months of usage?
That post on FB is not done by Fiat India. Those could be the retail prices, lets hope the kit prices will be lower! or there is some buy back offer for the old stuff taken out of the car
