They are not fishes, pistons (except sharks)
OMG again with tata no Fiat should not do , Before chrysler comes to india fiat shud be atleast 70 % away and single good name
Just uploading some more pics of the Jeep. Looking good but not awesome in my opinion .
If priced right its sure going to be a winner!!
Does Fiat has any plans to launch new hatchbacks under 8 Lakhs in the current year in India?
These Jeeps are in the INR 40Lakhs+ range competing with Land Rover and the like. I must admit they are great vehicles.
the pity is in other forum there is already negative comments posted about JEEP, FIAT and chrysler.
Common guys, Chrysler, FIAT, Jeep all of them came back from bankruptcy.
All over the world they are slowing gaining back the popularity.
I think in India FIAT will have tough time even though they turn India upside down- so much of negativity among fellow quto enthusiast.
I think The definative Indian Community has made its hobby to bash what ever decison FIAT takes. PPl say the looks are antiquated, but the same community feels looks of Fortuner as ultra modern:lol
How about branding Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler & FIAT separately. Let the manufacturing plant be the same, but should be sold as a separate product instead along with FIAT products. Let Alfa Romeo/Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler maintain it's marque separate from FIAT. Since FIAT is already working on buyer's awareness in India, adding these vehicles to FIAT portfolio would convert a butter smooth easy task into an uphill for them.
If launched as a separate brand with some C,C++/D segment locally built vehicles (i am sure FIAt is ready to surprise us with such move either Dodge or even Alfa Romeo). People would line up for 12-15 lakh Giulia with 1.4 multiair (170 hp) or 2Ltr Multi-jet (170 HP, 360 NM) or even 8-10 Lakh Dodge Dart with Multiair/MJD as applicable class-wise. They would immediately be a guaranteed hit. After 3-4 yrs, Fiat can consolidate the N/W after there reputation is restored to save operational costs & better N/W.
Putting them in the FIAT's showroom before 2014 would be the worst tactical move by FIAT.
All the talk of Fiat should sell JEEP through seperate dealer's and keep the brand independent of Fiat is speculation at this stage. The coming of JEEP to India is at a very initial stage and we can discuss about how Jeep should be sold and positioned when the launch is closer. At this stage, it would be safe to assume that Fiat would sell Jeep though separate dealerships and keep the 'secret' of it owning Jeep.....well....a secret.
Separate names with a comma.
