We can't allege that Jay vijay is under cutting Fiat cafe, because all other dealers across state of Maharashtra (Nanded,Nagpur)are offering same deal (Fiats offer worth Rs 40k)on the Avventuras manufacturered in 2014.

Price hike is applicable only for the cars manufactured in 2015.

And it is not the hike on the part of dealer or manufacturer. It is due to increase in excise duty.

Excise duty( Utpadan shulk )is paid by the manufacturer before selling the car to the dealer. It is a tax on the manufacting(Utpadan as it is called in devnagri script ) and not selling .
Tax which applicable upon selling the car is called as VAT .And VAT money comes from dealer. There is no increse in the rate of VAT.

So excise duty is paid by the manufacturer before it is sold to the dealer .Manufacturer has to pay this excise duty tax once car is manufacturered no matter if it gets sold or not.

My car was manufacturered in December 2014and billed on dealer on 27/12/2014,(I can post a pic of the bill taken during my pdi) this implies that fiat has paid the exise duty to the government in December itself @rate prevailing in december.Excise duty concessions were removed after 31/12/2014.
So by government rule, my car is protected from price hike due to excise duty hike. And dealer is not oblising me by protecting the price.Any attempt on the part of the dealer to plunder my money on the name of hike in excise duty should not be tolerated by Fiats. And if at all extra excise duty is to be paid ,it is to be paid by fiats and that too to the government.

If dealer or the fiats make me pay hiked price due to rise in excise, I have got RTI to ask government excise department if they have received it or not and when?
I hope Fiat takes these rules seriously.

@Tornado Yes i agree and understand, but they are not asking for a price hike, sky moto is just sticking to the pre-scheme timing of the deal you struck with them, if a scheme came out later, are they really obliged ethically to offer you benefits under that scheme when the deal is valid only post 10 th january?

Now, it is true that your formal invoice may be dated after the 10th, but the semi-formal deal was dated well before that, especially if, as they will allege I suspect, it wasn't them who delayed PDI/delivery?

Would you have agreed to pay a higher price if the deal was struck before a sudden price increase? Like happened with Ford Ecosport buyers, and many other buyers in 2015 for many firms, what with new, increased prices? Why then are you expecting them to offer you a benefit that was non-existent when the terms, otherwise fair and to Fiat-website-listing standards presumably (or better?), were agreed upon?

Benefits and discounts keep coming and going. Sky Moto is doing business the way it's done at car dealerships of any firm anywhere in the world including the US (in this case), whatever the other valid(?) reasons to dislike them. From what you've described their practice is not 'sharp', in this case, not in the Indian or the Italian or say the American business sense. Of course, you know better since we don't have all the information on what and how bargaining and negotiations went down between Sky Moto and you.

Anyway, am sure Fiat will intervene meaningfully on this for you. All the best with all the remaining issues (get the benefits? cancellation? reimbursement? shifting to another dealer? etc)!

Think about it calmly, am not sure this is worth the aggravation, and the delays and running-around, that's all?

    cheers man.

@asimpleson , if fiat allows this kind of malpractice by their dealer ,
Agreed, unfair bussines practices are present at the dealership of Maruti also. But Maruti sales figures are so huge that it doesn't make any difference if they loose one or two customers due to dealer's malpractice. While for fiat' loosing one or two customers must be making huge impact on already mediocre sales figures. It is like loosing couple of litres from tankful for Maruti while for Fiat it must be like loosing a couple of litre when the fuel indicator is already blinking the low .!!!!

@prabhjot, If the dealer had revealed me the scheme on 10th jan or 14 th Jan(cheque handed over ) or 16 th Jan (Insurance date),I would have cancelled the booking done in December at the cost of cancellation charges and would have done a new booking because discount offered by FCA (mind well, it was Fiat who was going to loose the 40 k from their profit )and dealer had nothing to loose. Rather dealer could have got normal profit on the new deal and cancellation charges from old deal also. But sky moto had a voracious appetite .
Sky motomoto has tried to misappropriate fiat's profit and my vallet .

Just think the SA forgot to mention you the deal....get the avvy and have peace of mind...its just like buying a Cellphone buy it today then look at the price tomorrow it'll be 2000 rupees cheaper, either way you do feel unlucky since you paid a bit more

Fiat will give offers now and then, they cannot cancel and rebook the same vehicle or encourage it, May be they will have some official issues, they have some rules too , they are like us too, try looking this from their shoes.

I think you can ask for free rear view camera , full tank diesel or something like that to compensate your heart

Just get the avvy, you can earn the money any day, but all this stress and tension you are facing for missing some silly papers from reserve bank ain't going to let you live peacefully

    @prabhjot

Actually we do have to pay the actual (lower/higher) price when we make the full payment...

The price list also mentions the same - prices are indicative, actual price may vary etc..

I had paid a higher price for my Bullet, than was shown during booking.. The same goes with the so called Ecosport price hikes... A booking does not guarantee a lower price unless they say so explicitly.. (eg December offer - cars bought in December, existing stock.. Etc)

@Tornado, try get some discount , else forget about it.. Just drive happy..

Why not bro? www.fiat-india.com, their official website mentions specially about Fiat Caffè as if it is their pilot and ideal dealership and they say. 'Get ready to be Charmed '.
fiat Caffè finds special place on their website while other dealers are listed in a drop down menu.
And Pune fiat Caffè finds place at top among the fiat Caffè s. Alphabetically Banglore should have been on the Top.

Chronologically, Delhi could have been on the top. Screenshot_2015-01-22-10-46-06.png

@Tornado, like I said earlier, the blunder was not from Fiat rather from the dealers, just like other manufacturers too face these dealer issues. Singling out Fiat and bashing them for lower sales on these grounds (your case) is not justified. Of course I have been equally vocal and critic of Fiat failures and policies time and again on various threads, but also care not to go about mindlessly and point finger at Fiat just because it is always easy to do so. I can state precisely why they have lower sales, but that is not the scope of discussion of this thread. Besides it is already discussed and nearly on a daily basis.

You can state or argue about this deal with Fiat on grounds of mis-information or purposely being kept away of information of schemes as you state; besides which the ultimate resolution I have already stated to you. That is to cancel your booking (if possible) from Sky-Moto and wait or book another deal from another dealer of your choice.

EDIT: And another thing, it is SKY MOTO with their decreasing popularity that needs to be highlighted for their failures or malpractices everywhere. Atleast the other decent dealerships is where prospective customers can benefit from after reading about these issues.

If fiat takes appropriate stand, I will rather applaud them. Because discounts were offered by fiat. And I am not interested in dealer discount.

And in this thread itself I have tried to help fiat's sales figure by one in my best capacity.

    @Tornado,
sorry to hear about this, we hope that Fiat will & must help you in this matter & we hope that Fiat gives Fiat Caffe Pune dealership to any other dealer rather than sky moto, these guys are just cheating & we have been getting negative sales reviews from these guys at sky moto in Fiat Caffe

What I can make out is that Dealer is certainly cheating, but also you should have checked with all dealers before making full payment. Normally after making full payment, no one will reduce the price.
Yes with current situation, Fiat should intervene. Let's hope they do.
