Dhang! Some snaps of new Punto Evo!
According to FIAT India plans,
Punto New Model: First half of 2014
B-Segment CUV: Second half of 2014
New Linea: Starting 2014
Special Edition of Punto: Middle of 2015
Special Edition of Linea: Middle of 2015
First half of 2014 -> Punto New Model Supposed to be a all new model ( 2014 Punto Evo is all new model.. ) is not a just a face lift ? am I missing something ?
Middle of 2015 -> Special Edition of Punto: -> what this special edition punto will have ( just some added chrome treatments and some stickers :chair OR FIAT will udpate the
gear box/engine specs as well , wodering what FIAT will update in just 1 year of time in middle of 2015.:anyone
In above image, there is no new model till 2016.
If Fiat wants to be in the game they should launch at least 1 absolute new model every 2 year to increase the portfolio.
By 2018 India will be 3rd largest car market and Fiat can't increase the sales by this strategy.
Punto will definitely get initial response but to score 2000 per month after product launch will be difficult for Fiat.
I hope right pricing will bring Fiat 2000 p/m sales for Punto EVO.

Only way to achieve that figure is aggressive marketing. in which FIAT is not at all interested!
I will not be surprised if the current figures actually drop!
There are people who still waiting for 1.5/1.6/Tjet engine in Punto.
According to the news none of them are coming. So these people move to different brands for sure!
From Fiat India website -
Posting some of the pictures from Fiat Tirupur FB page. Many such are still hidden even from the hardcore Fiatians.Got to wonder their secret approach.
woow....new punto definitely looks big and beautiful compared to swift
Not sure why people are waiting for these engines when they have been a big fail in the past!! How many had bought Palio 1.6? forget palio, how many bought the Polo 1.6 infact polo 1.6 tanked worse than palio. Because india is not a high-CC performance market. And look from the perspective of Fiat... they are selling the same 1.3 engines to other manufacturers which are selling in high numbers, then why will it launch an already slow-moving punto with new bigger capacity engines!
Launch date confirmed. Source: fb FMC
