IMO it is a very bad strategy,we are in 2016 and still we are seeing the music system without USB/AUX and rear manual windows :banghead:.
Fiat are you kidding with us and other companies are coming with more advanced ICE and features but this dumb FCA still thinking to sell the outdated for indians. What a shame and wasting the delears space for this gem of the car.
Punto Evo is running with 1 Lakhs discount and still if somebody want to buy, without doubt they will be buying the Evo.
IMO it is well fitted for Yellow boards and may be this is thier strategy and may increase another 100 from the monthly sales :D.

This where we make a mistake in understanding the mentality of a consumer. A consumer wants bling; not a safe car with interiors from the days my grandpa dated my grandma. Even the Kwid has better interiors and the design is fresher. No one is going to touch a Punto pure like the Linea classic and will die a quick death.

Very true. I believe most people want a car just for showing off. Almost every flat owner in our apartment owns a car. So there are 10 cars out of which 5 people take out their car once a month and 5 of us take out our cars every day. BTW all cars that are always parked are Marutis.

IMO biggest problem for Fiat is after-sales. No dealer in Mumbai

Saw the PP (pure punto) in person today in local auto expo, it is the active version of old punto thats all.
car with body, engine, AC, Power steering, front power windows.
no one was giving it a single glare in front of others.
People have more interest in checking out KUV100, TUV300, KWID, CRETA

No one will look at it. No one will look at Ayesha Zulka with a make up, when there are Shraddha Kapur/Alia bhats around.
It's an old stock for clearance. I think fiat will not be able to sell this either. Expect either a more lakh rupee discount on this further, or fiat will approach any major taxi firm with good offer , or dismantle them and sell the spares to 99rpm.com. (OT: every fiat owner shall buy atleast one spare online each year from 99rpm.com so that they are atleast assured of their spare business)

PS: secretly for study purpose, Fiat owners often compare their car looks with Sunny Leone.

I am not sure if this was sarcasm but :joyful::joyful::hilarious:. The Punto Pure is more like Bipasha Basu still hoping for a decent movie. It's days are gone and now should be retired.

A 'decent movie' made by big-name Bollywood, you mean? What is that, you mean such a species exists? No recent example comes to mind!:mooning:

Fiat is more like an old accomplished director like RamGopalVerma or Sudhir Mishra overtaken and bewildered by the former-fans who seem to have, er, 'evolved' or perhaps 'mutated' is a better word?

Or Anurag kashyap whose films either get banned, nearly-banned or....they 'flop' at the 'boxoffice'.:p

Fiat is like Rahul Dravid, bless him, playing the IPL! He was out-of-his-depth, AND more to the point since the ipl is rubbish, not unlike bollywood? ....vice-versa!

    :hungover::finger::blackeye::dead::hilarious: at the same time!

@prabhjot Ram Gopal Verma is an accomplished director since when :inpain::inpain: . It is not a question of whether IPL is rubbish - test matches will soon die out because no one has 5 days to spend on a cricket match. IPL is the future and since Dravid could not adapt - he retired so should Fiat.

O.T - The discussion is going OT and I will refrain from further comments.

Here is another mess up by fiat. Just enquired about punto pure for a friend in bangalore. OTR seems roughly comes to 5.6 lacs ( petrol active varient). Punto evo with 1 lac discount comes around 5.8 lacs (petrol dynamic) with mich more features. Now, why anybody in this world will bye a Pure???
This was expected but fiat india just made it in reality.
