    @amit - is the swing only in one direction? means.. the MID always show an FE slightly more than actual, or it 'may' show less than actual also ?
    dfntly FIAT or anyone might not want to show it that way :wink:

    BTW I have never tried the tankfull method in Punto to see it for myself.

    Don't know how I forgot to add all internal lights algorithm in Linea (same may be for Punto also) earlier (Contribution from nehamit-Dr. Amit). Added following info on the 1st main page of this topic:

    The interior light algorithm in Linea is as under:

    • If you leave the interior cabin lights ON by mistake and lock the car and go away, Linea/ Punto will automatically switch off all cabin lights after 20 mins and would save your battery from dischrging which is a wonderful feature.[/*:m:1p6tf2c6]
    • When any door is opened, both the front and the rear lights come on for 3 minutes. The timer is reactivated whenever the door is opened. [/*:m:1p6tf2c6]
    • When all the doors are closed, the lights stay on for a further 10 seconds with the key off. If the key is moved to key on position, the interior lights are turned off immediately. [/*:m:1p6tf2c6]
    • When all the doors are closed at key-on the interior lights are immediately switched off. [/*:m:1p6tf2c6]
    • When the key is removed, both the front and the rear lights are turned on and a 10 second timer is activated.
      All the interior lights are turned off at the door lock control. [/*:m:1p6tf2c6]
    • At the door open command, both the front and the rear lights are turned on and a 10 second timer is activated.
      If the inertia(fuel cut-off) switch is operated the interior lights come on for 15 minutes. [/*:m:1p6tf2c6]
    • The switching on or off takes place gradually (dimmer) with the duration of 2 seconds. [/*:m:1p6tf2c6]
    • If any door or the boot is opened when the key is in off position, a time of 15 seconds is set. After this, all the interior lights are deactivated. [/*:m:1p6tf2c6]

    Yes same thing happens in Punto (But Punto has only front light, no rear light).

    What is inertia(fuel cut-off) switch?

    Its there under the glove box on left hand side. At times of accident or impact, if you suspect any fuel leak, you should push this switch, it cuts off the fuel supply. THough I've not checked the switch nor have tried to locate it.

    Its there in manual

    In fact - Its the other way around:
    When impact happens, the fuel gets automatically cut off as a safety measure.
    AND THEN, to restore the fuel supply, you got to press this switch.
    It is a rubbery button. You have to locate and feel it with your finger. Once you slide your finger "down" into the small hole which is very near to left door, you get to feel it.

    Yea its the other way round.. mentioned in the manual... U need to push it to restore the fuel after an impact when it cuts off automatically...

    BTW VP the lights mechanism is the same for the punto too but the only diff is u dont have a rare passenger light like the linea.
