Fiat Linea/ Punto - "Did You Know" Series....

I have finally got the delivery of Punto Evo Dynamic yesterday.
Couple of quick starter queries:

1. Mine is Dynamic variant, however the rear end does not carry any badge of it. Is it so the case ?

2. The new box on the top of the dash doesnot carry a open-close Lid and its very open. Is it normal ?

3. Remote keyless entry is not working. How to activate the same?

4. NO BOOT LIGHT

5. Seat Belt indicator is not working .

1. No badge is fine. In facelift models FIAT has stopped badging the variant information.
2. Mine is Linea Dynamic so I assume interiors in both Punto and Linea to be similar in variant to variant comparison. With this assumption there should have been a lid to box on top of dashboard.
3. Key has to be configured for it to work. Check with dealer whether this is done. It hardly needs 10 min
4 &5 Check brochure for presence or absence of this feature in Dynamic variant.

Yes. Unless you see some hinges or hooks which indicate the lid to be missing.

Get Checked the battery & sensor. Ideally, it should have been paired and tested at time of delivery

Also check gloves box light it should be there... Mine was missing at the time of pdi but arrange at the time of delivery... Boot light is there in my dynamic... Seat belt warning is only visible on mid for few seconds but no alarm ... Its in emotions model with alarm

No its not there in dynamic model its for emotions only ... But if you required you can order part of emotion and fix on same place without any alter...
What about fog lamp have you added if yes what is a price? Performance?

Any suggestions for headlights upgrade within warranty limit... Stock bulb is good but no throw, spread more and not cover distance...I know about philips and osram but are they good about throwing light on road for more distance or because of headlights design of punto it will also going to spared ?

 

Hi Sachin, no I have not added fog lamp yet. I am planning to fog lamp and head lamp upgradation as well. Will keep you posted

 

Hi All,

I have a strange issue. Once I switch off the engine and remove the keys, the power window are still operational. Even I am able to operate the audio system. Is that the way it should work?

My belief is that it should not be operational once the keys are taken out.

 

Hi Giridhar,

This is a "feature" given by Fiat. I too have it on my Linea MJD. The audio system works even without the keys and the power windows are operation for a few seconds/minutes after you remove the keys.
