Yes, 1st gear cannot take the car to 50kmph! So markings cannot be for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Should be 3rd, 4th and 5th as you suggested.

That sounds not to be taken lightly issue. Please visit FASC asap. I would recommend RS Motors. Contact on phone and ask for Mr. Rajendra or Michael and explain the issue. Or better still visit them and ask for Mr. Deshmukh if he is present there.

Try the solution mentioned earlier i.e. disconnect battery negative terminal for 1-2 hours, reconnect & try. If it happens again, take it to FASC. Rajendran & Michael at R. S. Motors are good experienced hands at Fiat.

Thanks Amit for your reply, i will try this above solution and update you. Tomorrow i am taking my linea to balaji service centre Turbhe.

In case this problem is not resolved by Balaji, then will go to R.S. Motors.

    I appreciate your support

I dont think that this feature has been omitted. I drive a 90 hp Evo and whenever I visit a fuel pump I turn off the ignition but I am still able to pull down the driver side window. Will check it again and confirm on this.

I haven't checked if you could roll down the windows. However, after turning off the ignition and with the key not taken out from the ignition slot, you can roll up the windows. Pretty nifty feature as you don't have to re-engage the key to battery position.

    Experts,

One query. Can someone advise on a quick solution to convert the current long press for Punto HU power button while switching off to short press please?

Any updates on the problem you faced? Was it resolved at Balaji?

I faced the same problem when sudden deccelaration lets say from 80 to 40 and car used to just shutdown. But removing the negative of battery for 30 mins and reconnecting solved it for me.

In older fiats like Palio, once ignition is turned off everything is gone. Radio, power windows etc. I didnt' know newer ones have this delay feature.
