My Climate Control is always set at 22 with full auto setting. i tried this thing today at the office, but did not drive immediately. While coming home an hour ago, i noticed the car cooled much faster and the fan had a better throw. I think it resets/cleans the condenser.
I also noticed it you press the "MAX" button above the "circulation" button, a relay clicks below the steering wheel.
    I'm still not sure though.
Somebody please tell what it is fast, the fact that i know the feature but not what it does is killing me!!

P.S i wanted to add this to previous answer but did not find edit, so new answer.

The MAX button activates front and rear defoggers and hence the click sound.

one more feature.. not sure if its posted before. but please dont try this at home
once while driving the car i was slowing down and coming to a stop, and a friend on the passenger side opened his door too soon.
the MID didn't like it and gave a loud beep along with the "door open" light glowing.

An incoming call on BluenMe, should you want to reject it, just long press the phone button on the steering! I happened to notice this accidentally the other day, after 2 years of ownership ;) Posting it, incase it still not known :p
Always thought the long press was only for ending an active call.

    • when changing lanes, you can turn on the indicator "temporarily" by "half" moving the indicator stalk and not pressing it up/down fully. (similar to a digital camera - where you would half press the button to focus and then full press to click the picture). this way you dont have to manually pull the indicator stalk back to the centre position after you're done changing lanes!
    • Roads on the outskirts of bangalore are famous for their unmarked speedbreakers, compounded by scanty lighting, as i have experienced by having to slam on the brakes really hard. :banghead:
      • they are hard to spot if you drive with low beams. and the high beams also are not very helpful, as they focus too high above the road level to see anything in detail.
      • to get around this, what i do is to select low beam, bring the headlight level to 1 or 2 , wait for the level to change, and then switch back to high beam. (dont know why fiat has designed it to not allow changes in high beam mode, and if you switch to high beam in between changing to a different level, the levelling will stop immediately at wherever it was).
      • this way you can see the speedbreakers, and avoid blinding others too (much).

Another feature i have found helpful is that the central locking will lock even a single door which was unlocked, once you start moving. (say for e.g. after you drop someone off and then start moving again)

Hi I have installed remote locking for my car in Fiat authorized show room for 5500.This is from auto cop brand. But I have one query which I did not got from any forum.
1.If I lock the car using remote lock and at that time if any of the door is opened am not getting any siren alarm as one of the door is opened, it just gives one beep as it generally give when locked. So user thinks that its locked but actually it not locked but in my old car if any door is opened it will not give any sound indicating that something is wrong and so not locked.
    2. when I checked with show room guys yesterday they told this feature is not available in fiat but when I checked with auto cop some says its available some says it's not available am totally confused what's the truth about fiat punto active. Please someone help me in this confusion as this is very important for me else waste of money and in order to get this feature itself I have gone for remote locking.

    Hi @dagadakanth !

    Welcome to TFI!!
Fiats which come with factory fitted remote lock, doesn't blink hazard if any of the door is open, which is not the case when all doors are closed. It signifies, that atleast one of them isn't closed.

If the one which you got is a genuine accessory , it should also behave like this.

Hi I am very glad for the quick reply as I did not got answer for my question anywhere internet. I have fitted remote locking from auto cop which is approved from fiat and fitted by fiat service engineers in show room. But it does not indicate if any of the door is opened, show room guy told this is not possible in Punto active.is this feature depends on Car or remote control KIT.
