It's not silly. It is simply unnoticeable in peak evening rush hour traffic, when every car is driving with high beams. Trust me, I've had that experience on my Getz (which was running 100/90w, btw) and for 2-3 days, I could not even realize that it was my headlight bulb that was blown. There is sufficient light on the road to fool you.

Quite simply, would you know if your brake light bulb is fuse, unless someone points it out? Headlight bulbs fall in the similar category dude.

GPS Reading and Speedo Reading ( Diff of +5)

    Hi,

I used GPS to identify correct speed ( what satellite says ) and speedometer, and surprisingly, the speedo in my princes Fiona ( pet name to my GP EP 1.3, named by my better-half) is on higher side by abt 5.5 to 6 KMPH. Hence, the speed beep feature, if I set to 90 KM, then its actually 84 KM.

    So, assuming this ,

In 2nd gear min. speed without acceleration is 10kmph - mostly 6 to 8 KMPH
    IN 3rd gear 20kmph - 15 KMPH
    IN 4th gear 30kmph - 25 KMPH
    IN 5th gear 40kmph - 35 KMPH

I tested it using GARMIN / SYGIC and also two of the android apps. Same result.

    I own GP EP 1.3 ( Diwali 2011 Edition )

    Regd,
    Prasen

Amazing. will this affect ODO? Does it mean that we will be calculating our FE more than actual?

Any GPS app will show speedo mis-match because the speed of communication/data transfer with the satellite has to be factored in.

Other than that, have you changed the tyre profile? Up/down sizing can cause speedo 'error' as well.

I doubt. full tank method gave me 22kmpl (668 kms in 31 ltrs normal diesel), where trip mtr showed me 19.8. I doubt which is right.

I am not sure. However, theoratically your tank-to-tank FE should always be less than your tripmeter reading. It cannot be higher, that too by 2 kms..

well that is some real good information but i'll say some times too much knowledge is injurious to health!:uh
guys not a single car on this earth is 100% perfect. So better enjoy driving rather than pulling out hairs on such issues :steering :p what say?

dont even try to compare GPS readings with speedo. GPS is always wrong.

    i have tried it everytime.

you better believe your speedo than GPS
