Fiat Linea/ Punto - "Did You Know" Series....

Perfect Amit... Ideally ppl say dont use handbrake but engaging the handbrake is a regular practice i follow.

 

Whenever the outside temperature drops to around 1-2 degrees celsius as shown by the MID, Linea's MID flashes a warning - "Caution - possibility of ice on road".

This warning keeps flashing at fixed time intervals, no mention in owner's manual. Had taken my Linea to Himachal in freezing cold temperatures when this happened.

Very right... Some thing new i learnt abt the temp control system... Cool feature man...

 

Now let me start with all the surprises i had when i bought the Punto Dynamic over active.
i bought it for the manual central locking,power windows in the rear and the fabric insert in the door pads.
But the surprises i got were.
1.The dials and the MID as in the Emotion.not like the small MID of active,this wasnt mentioned anywhere in FIATs brochures.
2.The rear power windows can be operated only from the back.no controls for front.i was pissed seeing this.now i ve found a solution for this.see below for pics.
3.the b pillar black stips were present.
4.the active and dynamic have the jack and jack key below the stepney.but emotion has a tool pack outside.this is irritating.

and now for the solution.
The wiring for all the windows are present in the driver side door.But the switch alone is derived from Active(ie.only 2 buttons on the driver side door).So i changed the switch to the one in Emotion.This is applicable to all Active Lineas too

Result:
driver can control all 4 windows .also use the child lock.i paid 1.5k for this thing.anyways useful

 

i removed the switch from anther emotion punto and tried connecting,it worked.thats how i found out.lol
