Unknown but good feature of Punto rear fog lamps.

I had been to Shankara Mutt yesterday(Shankara puram,bangalore), while try to reverse park the car ,I couldn't see the anything in back due to darkness, i suddenly remembered rear fog lamp and tried parking with rear fog light on.

Wow !! red light was spot on save my car from hitting pavement.

The fog lamp has bright light as compared to stoplight.

 

Yaar but I always felt it would have been better with 2 reverse lights rather than having a fog light in place. Is it really required in our Indian condition ?

 

Also it looks odd i.e. asymmetric

Hi Guys! By any means, does anyone have an idea about the Locking/Unlocking Distance using the Remote Key provided to us for Punto. One of the Pages on this Forum mentioned that the Locking distance is more than the Unlocking Distance. How far is that true, as it dint seem to work for me

 

Yeah, I believe there is no specific pattern as you mentioned.
I tried playing with it and found that the Unlock/Lock distances are very much the same.
So wanted to confirm the same.

Yeah, I have found that the distance varies sometimes like you said but its somewhere near 30-40 meters.

Should have been really a thoughtful feature if the Locking distance would have been more that the Unlocking one .
