    This is an excellent feature. High beam switch is similar to power switch on desktop. This switch does not have two mechanical positions, high beam latches on and holds as long as head light is on. when head light is turned off or ignition switch is turned of latch releases and returns to low beam. Hope I did not confuse you.

    Because the trigger mechanism for switching on the high beam is electronic rather than mechanical. And it's programmed to switch off when the car is switched off.

    Even in the older Palio D, you cannot switch off the headlights if the hi beam is on. You first switch it to low beam and only then does it switch off.

    Same is the case with fogs. You'll always have to turn them on again, even if you switch the car off while the fogs were on.

    Plus, a slight correction to your earlier post. Linea low beam is H7, hi beam is H1.

    Gurjinder.

    Just like a computer, it loads the default settings everytime you start it. The default happens to be low beam, unless you have done some tinkering.

    For children there are child locks for the rear doors.

    Hello All,
    I have a Punto 90HP . I have a doubt regarding the steering mounted controls. Today I noticed that it is possible to do a fast forward/rewind of the CD tracks through the circular dial on the HU, (apart from shifting of the tracks through the same left/right buttons). However when using the steering mounted controls , I can only shift the tracks on the CD , but it is not possible to do a fast forward/rewind . Has anyone else noticed this or is their some problem in my setup ?

    Thanks ,
    Vivek

    ^^^^ vivek: There is nothing wrong with your setup. That's how the steering controls have been programmed.

    Vivek, steering mounted controls are Blue&Me, its control over the CD player. The controls on CD player are inherent, so they will provide control in the way the designer wanted them to. Blue&Me implementation is not for all functions of head unit.

    Does anyone knows about this? Somehow I came across it accidently yesterday.
    The cars move at around 15-20km/hr speed on 2'nd gear on it's on, on constant speed with both my feet nicely resting on the floor, not on clutch or brake or accelerator !!:steering I managed 3 rounds around my building then in the end parked it in my garage.;)

    @Param

    Say hello to the 'anti stall' feature.:)

    It's found in most good cars these days. Even the older Palio 1.9D had it.
