    there are different techniques- LED, IR etc.. a google search would perhaps give more info...

    Rain Sensors can be inside the car, Rain Sensor works by emitting rays and works on principle of total internal reflection.
    But I think one mounted on Dash in Linea/Punto is for sensing sunlight/mist on windscreen it have got nothing to do with rain sensing. (I could be wrong too)
    Speed Sensitive wiper feature present in Linea/Punto works through Canbus.

    black colour carbon coming out of front disc pads,an1 else facing the same????? :confused :confused

    That's the brake pad dust. Everyone faces that. :)

    I have been facing this problem from the day one ...
    This is due to the soft compound of the brake pads , creating more dust ,,,, faced by everyone and is a real trouble to clean-off ....

    have heard this from most of the Tyre fellas that,"punto ka hamesha aise rehta hai".seems like punto is the only one releasing more carbon??
