    Linea armrest has three levels... Inclined, straight and declined mode.... The hook below the button is used to set this.

    As most of you must have observed, when one turns the key from 'MAR' to 'STOP' the music system gets switched off and one needs to switch it ON again.. So if this really irritates you and you'd rather like the music system to stay on... do this..

    Press the 'Menu' button on the HU and use the 'Up / Down' keys to scroll to the option 'RADIO OFF'. Use the 'Left / Right' arrow keys to change the option from '00 MIN' to '20 MIN'.

    Now when you switch off the engine by turning the key to 'STOP', the HU will remain ON for 20 minutes. One needs to switch it ON again after 20 minutes if one wants to keep listening to it ...

    The flip side is that you have to manually switch on the music system when you leave the car, unless you want it running for 20 mins.

    Am also cross posting to the ICE thread...

    Hi,

    I am new to diesal car, i own Punto MJD Emotion pack, i have one question
    Does this driving pattern has a load on engine? I drove around 400KM in weeks time, got a avg mileage 13 with 100% AC ON and avg speed showing as 18 KMPH. Usually in 4th gear my speed was be 40kmph. if i follow your pattern is there any harm to machine?

    Hi Nitin, yes the driving pattern will have a load on the engine. That post by Tron was just to highlight the ability of the MJD with 197NM of torque. You shall maintain the rpm between 1500-2000rpm. Shift to 5th gear at 60Kmph. Shift to 4th around 40-45kmph.

    Follow the driving pattern as discussed here:

    @paddleshifter, u r absolutely right!
    @nitinjd, i had just high lighten the ability...drive ur MJD in rang of 1500 to 2000RPM. ideally shift wen u'll reach at 2000RPM ...about ur FE; u got 13 which is ok as your car is pretty new yet ones u'll reach till 2/3k kms ur MJD will start open up n u'll get good figures of FE in city till some 17km/l...till 2000/3000kms dont worry abt ur FE. let ur car open up & always use normal diesel( sadha diesel) dont go for premium diesel like TURBOJET/Hi-SPEED/EXTRAMILE etc. these are not recommended for our fiats

    Can you share the price for which you bought this car?

    Premium diesel is strictly not recommended by Fiat. Use only the regular diesel. Check the owner's manual - its the very 1st line, I guess.

    Details of safety features in chassis,for Punto/Linea front bumper is first line of defense second is the chassis frame which has little bulged shape helps in taking hit and collapsing itself rather then passing it next stage.Third is the frame where shock absorbers are mounted.

    Thickness of the body sheet metal is just .08 mm but due to high tensile material it's strong and body lines makes them more tough then they actually are.
