    Thanks for video and photo.
It seems FIAT have forgot to paste that code on my car or it might have got off during washing etc. Even your sticker is coming off.

    To KK
A/c of punto & linea does not hamper the performance of car
A/c Has calebrated A/c like this.
You wii need Garware Sun Control Ice-Cool Eite film which has 72% heat rejection.
Do not go V-cool & other bogus brands which are sold by dealers because of high sales margins only. V-cool & other imported brands are made for atmophere of westerncountries. So Garware Ice-cool or Garware Arcitic cool is only best solution for heat of India

I know you guys must knowing about this already but still posting my Eureka moments here:

It is a useful feature when you catch cold in summer and others accompanying you cant live without AC. Just that one needs to be careful when using those Ambipur car freshner which broke the vents in my Siena
  7. A comprehensive list of hidden/implicit features

I searched the forum (and other forums) but there is not consolidated feature list including all the advertised and non-advertised (and even unknown to many) features and thoughtful engineering & design of Punto & Linea. So why don't we start collecting everything here to make a comprehensive listing at the end?

I feel this would help a lot of potential buyers and users of this car a lot. I have to admit that I learnt certain features only after using the car for several months. For example, the hidden AC vents below the front seats.

Let's keep the discussions to minimum and list out such features here. In forums like xxxx-bhp one is deprived of even listing these features.

It would be good to have a format like this:

Cars: [Cars to which the feature applies to]
    Models: [Models]
    Feature: [Feature desc.]

    For example:

    • Cars: Punto/Linea
      Models: All
Feature: The illumination on power window buttons stays on after switching off the engine, and they are all turned off at the very moment any door is opened.

    • Cars: Punto/Linea
      Models: Dynamic / Emotion + / Plus
Feature: When you're browsing the MID menu and someone opens any door, the menu gets overlayed with the door open warning which can be cancelled by pressing the Menu/Esc button. Press repeatedly until all warnings get cancelled one by one.

Please feel free to suggest alternative ways of gathering this information. Mods, please delete, move or merge this thread if required.

Re: A comprehensive list of hidden/implicit features

    Car: FIAT GRANDE PUNTO
FEATURES NOT MENTIONED IN BROCHURE/NOT KNOWN TO SALES MANAGER/DISCOVERED AFTER OWNERSHIP/Leads to misinformation that i20 has more features than Punto:

Rear AC Vents under the front seat (All models)- when air is directed at foot level, rear AC vents start working to supply cool/hot air to the backseat.
Speed sensitive front wipers (All models)- When the front wipers are in intermittent mode, the wipe frequency of the wipers is automatically adjusted based on the speed of the car.
Manual door lock is possible even in Emotion and Emotion pack variant. There are no separate visible door locks in these variants that leads to an impression that they can't be manually locked (Even the FIAT sales manager said that Punto can't be locked manually in Emo/E-pack variants). Just push the inner door opener towards the door to lock it.
All four power windows have Auto down feature. Driver side is auto up as well. (Emotion and Emotion Pack).
In dynamic variant, driver side door has switch for only front 2 power windows. One can get the switch of driver side power window of emotion variant installed for another Rs1000-1500.
Engine guard(All variants). Punto has a metallic engine guard plate below the compartment to protect the engine compartment from below. A first in the segment
Metal plate behind the back rest of the rear seat. This is a highly intelligent feature. It protects against the trauma to the spine of the back benchers that may result from the contents of the the boot striking violently against the back rest of the rear seat in case of sudden deceleration.

Re: A comprehensive list of hidden/implicit features

@Ravi- I am aware of that Did you know thread as well. But I think its a smart move by clevermax to start a new thread where we will not discuss anything but just post "hidden feature".

That "did you know" thread has a lot of discussions so we can run two threads.

If MODs think that this is feasible then I kindly request you guys to delete this post and all discussions from this thread. This thread will only have posts where the poster will just write down the hidden feature he/she knows.
