Brochure does mention that Punto has speed sensitive front Intermittent wipers. Same should be for Linea but till now I couldn't find appreciable difference at city speeds.

Hope I'm not being misunderstood.
I've not re-discovered the switch. Of course, I knew about it. ::V

"I was talking of the illumination of the arrows on that switch that varies with the position of that switch"

    Ahh yes.. I thought so.

How should it behave? Decrease the wiping delay with increase in speed? :confused

The manual does mention about speed sensitivity of Wiper.
See the picture. You have to keep the wiper position on "intermittent" position.

I also think that wiper speed shall be directly proportional to vehicle speed in the intermittent position.
So that wiping delay shall decrease with increase in speed. :confused

Paddleshifter i tried timing the wiper on my way back, here is what i found. Initially wiper was cleaning every 5 seconds but when i crossed 70kmph it reduced to 3 seconds. So as you said wiping speed is directly proportional to speed of vehicle.I might be wrong about time since i wasn't using a watch as i was driving alone.

Great, another unique feature of Punto/Linea. :dancing
Remember how they say "Rain sensing wipers" with pride for Cruze.
Now, it will be our turn to say "Speed sensitive auto wiper intermittent control"
    Looks very technical and impressive.
I'll also try timing them someday when I get the opportunity. I hadn't timed them, just tried to feel some change. Moreover, mine is in run-in period, so changed speed from 40kmph to 60kmph inside the city roads.

I have seen a more sensible feature in Figo where one can set the wait time between two sweeps in the intermittent mode. Wish we had this too. :boxer .

There's a feature available as standard on the European GP. Not sure about the model sold in India
