    Thank you guys.
Just upgraded the tyres to 195 65 15"
    No apparent transmission loss
defininite increase in GC - the car does not hit the usual speed breaker near my house (where it used to scrape even while crawling)

Ill wait and see the long term impact too.

    Thanks for your suggestions

I had purchased My T-Jet having high ground clearance (190mm). I today got a low ground clearance kit installed and I am simply loving the drive. Every money worth spent. The parts were manufactured in month of June 2014 and of brand COFAP (Made in Poland)

RKK, I too did the same before delivery, and felling very happy with the gliding :). But in New Linea the difference is very minimal and ride is really good ( with 185/190 mm GC) than ealier high GC model.

I have recently fixed GC kit. And honestly speaking there is a hell and heaven difference I got. earlier it was a nightmare to drive on little bumpy roads. As well when the car is loaded with 4 people, it was a pain and always I used to be careful while crossing a hump. now its really smooth and dont have to worry at all. its a value for money. only the look of the car becomes little different, which you can sacrifice for getting this comfort

Is it possible to fix avventura GC kit in a grande Punto? if yes is it available in market? Will it effect the dynamics of the car?

I recently brought a Linea mjd and the car has done 2.8K kms
I did two trips. One trip was fully on NH7 and covered about 1300kms and the other was mix of NH7 and State highways and covered about 1100kms.
In both the trips I felt the ride to be pretty bumpy and not the planted feel I used to get in my Punto90HP which is having pre-2012 suspension set up and felt very tired as well. We were three of us in the car with a fully loaded boot but even then I felt the ride to be harsh.
Now what could be the reasons. I have listed a few but not sure which one :)
    • Increased GC 185MM
    • 16inch with 205/55/R16 tyres. In Punto I had 195/60/R15
    • Tyre pressure maintained at 36 in the front and 33 at the rear as per FIAT recommendation
I have heard from other TFIans that 195/60/R15 has more ride comfort that 205/55/16. Is this true?
If I change the suspension to the pre-2012, will I get a better ride quality with 205/55/16.

Adding to it even small undulations can be felt inside

In both my cars I have Michelin Primacy 3ST tyres

@Vishi, I feel 36 psi up front would be a little to high, can you try runing on 33 psi both Front and Rear.
The logic is the more Tire wall size the better is your ride and vice/versa.
As per the ride confort goes, 195/60 will slighlty have a better ride quality than 205/55 becasue you have lost a 5mm cusion, however the tire is 10mm wider so you a better grip and looks.
There's always a trade off between Ride/Handling while selecting the rubber for your car that is why it is always better we stick with OE specs because they would have made the math.
My friend has a T-Jet and she runs on 33 psi and most of the time the car is single driven so no issue what so ever with height.

Also you can see if you can flat your tires and fill up with Nitogen air I know I've been using for 4 years now and I can tell there is a decent difference after filling up Nitogen Air.

You mean better ride? Please give more information. I am interested in knowing because AFAIK there is no major benefit of Nitrogen fill for consumers (tyre shop has all the benefits @ 300 Rs. for 4 tyres).

@Anup Thanks for clarifying. Let me see by reducing the PSI to 33 next time.

I have no idea why you have been asked 300 bucks for 4 tires, ideally you will be charged either 160 or 200 for first time where in they will flaten the tire and then re fill, post which you will be doing top up which you will be charged either 40 or 50 bucks for all 4.

Coming to benifits, Nitrogen is very light, your normal air consists about 80%Nitrogen(Sorry I am not sure the exact numbers) however 100% will ensure a little lighter tire and less hotter as well.
