The 'Classic' badge looks classic. I will try to source one soon and use it in my Palio to make that 'Palio Classic'. :D

I'm guessing the tires are 185/70/14. If yes, the overall tire size remains the same as 195/60/15. So, no difference with respect to covering the wheel well.

Another advantage will be a plusher ride on the higher profile tyres. Need to drive one to get a feel of it. A good set of comfortable tyres shud make it quite plush.

OT: How do I enable a feature to get the notification when somebody quotes me?

    Yes mate.

Now imagine the combination of high GC with high profile tires , from the point of view of say the rural/sub-urban market with less than perfect roads or no roads and who just might be one of the target segments and you will appreciate the 14" wheels. ;)

    Cheers.

Now I can just get the interior plastics of the classic and swap. No need to worry about painting the beige. Only the door panels and the A B pillar cladding will remain :dance

The black dials are looking classic. :)

And with the black dashboard, interiors are looking better than the current version :p

14" doesnt matter, tyres are just plug and plag, unlike airbags, abs etc..

Re: Fiat Linea Classic - Getting ready to be launched

Rajan, aren't they of the same dimensions as of the Punto? I believe so.

The most important part of this Classic Linea will be revealed tomorrow.

Pricing: Hope Fiat gets it right again as it did for T-jet.
75HP Engine: If it would be the same in both the Classic variants
Gear box: Very skeptical that they would have tweaked it.

Features wise, when I look hard in the pics posted ealier, I see
    Fog lamps missing.
    Only 2 power window switches.
Has body coloured, bumpers, ORVMs, handles (assuming)
    Manual levers for ORVM adjustment

    I think:-

Fiat is surely hurting existing Linea customer who has bought Linea 1.3/1.4/T-jet. By launching 'Classic' there will be definite impact on the Image and Re-sale value of this beautiful car.

    Its my personal opinion.

The Linea is 1730 mm wide and the Punto is 1687 MM wide. I doubt if the interior panels will be the same size. Next time we meet, maybe I should actually measure and see :D
