Why i am asking is My registration book it specified as 86BHP engine i really get confused?....
It's 93 PS (93 @ 4000RPM). 1 PS is almost equal to 1 BHP (1ps = 1.01 BHP). Why is the BHP even mentioned in the Registration? I think the RTA is just bothered about the CC of the Engine.
Guys at registration authorities are a bunch of nincompoops.
My friend got his Ninja 650 registered recently, and they have mentioned engine capacity as 50cc
Pferdestärke or PS is the German translation of horsepower. It is a power measurement used in Germany around the end of the 19th century, it is about one metric horsepower in size.
Check this out for conversion of PS into various other units.
Hahahahaha..... they converted the Ninja into a Hero Puch!
That is OK. My friend's Palio Sport 16V 100HP is registered as TATA SPORT STATIONWAGON
Mine was registered as Linea emotion pack. .I emotionally had to change it to Punto lol.

It is 93 PS. Means 92.72 BHP as per owner' guide.
FIAT LINEA 2009 & 10 Models Broucher show's 86 BHP in Engg specs, later they changed it to 93 bhp in 2011& 12 model specs, I always doubt if they have upgraded or tuned the engine to 93bhp from 86bhp or it is the same engine. probably that RTA guy might have picked up these specs from some other old 2009/10 LINEA registrations. my linea is 2009 model it has 86bhp but there is no difference in pickup with newer 93bhp version.
attached the snapshot of Linea 2009 Multijet specs broucher.
Slightly OT. Is your friend's name Ravin?
Yes Sir. He is the one. Known elsewhere as Bottle
