hI this is ram from hyderabad.

I have got my linea multijet dynamic in June 2009, done 50,000 kms on it. over all experience is good except the ground clearance and service issue.
recently upgraded my Tyres to 205/60R15(Good year assurance) from OEM Tyres 195/60R15(GY GT3) to increase the ground clearance now
it is increased by 7MM, Now my vehicle GC is 168MM (linea original GC 161MM+7MM). Pickup litte bit reduced and steering is almost same, vehicle control and handling is very good.

Now I want upgrade my wheels and looking for FIAT OEM alloys in second sale, if anybody has those wheels please help me.

This is my first post and will definitely post on my experience with linea.

    thanks,
    rama.

    Ram,
I am not sure how 205/60R15 increased your GC. 60 here indicates your side wall height which has not changed?

johny the sidewall has definitely increased as 55-60-65 are not fixed height but it is actually the 55-60-65 percent of 175-185-195-205 section. so 60% of 205 is more than 60% of 195.

Thanks Karan, that helped! Recently upgraded to 195/65/R15. World of difference in terms of GC, but its slightly sluggish and the fuel consumption went up :(

  6. Johny, I do not think the fuel consumption has gone up for you. I'm also using 195/65. In fact, this profile would mean that there will be an error in your ODO reading by 3.2% and you need to negate that to calculate FE. That is, if your odo or trip meter shows 100kms done, you would have actually done 103.2kms!

    Some Insight:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
    195/60-15 4.6in 12.1in 24.2in 76.1in 833 0.0%
    195/65-15 5.0in 12.5in 25.0in 78.5in 807 3.2%
