Vahan did u know that TCRS, Worli will stop taking cars from 22nd? The only option now is BALAJI at godbunder road. The travel from town to godbunder will be a nightmare for me. Anyway any feedback on this BALAJI authorised service center?

I shudder at the mere thought of going to Balaji ! Let's hope that Fiat appoints a good service station in Western suburbs. TCRS would be a big loss - the service was excellent, workmanship topnotch and labor charges the lowest.

I decided not to risk with Balaji and went to Fortune, Powai. Think in terms of technical skills even TCRS cannot match Fortune. They discovered even the most difficult to find leaks in the engine bay without my complaining, sorted out the noise from rear which TCRS could never figure out 2 times. The car is super smooth post service. But then all this comes at a cost. They r definitely expensive. Plus for all their technical know-how they have given the car back with my odometer and speedometer non-functional.

You are right. Ashishbhai and his team are good technically. It was even better when the earlier Fiat team (originally from Anuroop - a Fiat dealer in the past) was there.

Cost wise, Fortune is the costliest. Labor charges are killer there.

Since last few days, MIS flashes a warning every 5 minutes intermittently that "Airbag failure...see handbook" alongwith Airbag warning sign glows. It flashes and glows for a few seconds and then vanishes only to come back after 5 minutes. Initial suspect was battery. Checked and found battery is alright. TASC then diagnosed the issue with Clock Spring. Clock Spring is separately not available and I've to replace the entire Combination Switch which is costing about 8.5K. I heard that it's available at half the price outside e.g. Kava.

I would prefer to get this fixed at TASC only. The issue is if I purchase it from outside and get it fixed either outside or with TASC, but if the issue still remains (and may turn out to be related to something else), outside guy from whom I purchased this part won't take it back. This is typically what happens and I experienced in my earlier car and thereafter you get stuck to those outside guys.

Heck - I have the exact same issue on mine, though no warning sign glowing. It is also somewhat random in nature. It comes on when turning the ignition on, but again not every time.

Interestingly even i am seeing tat Airbag failure message from last few weeks randomly :(
Lets see whats next that needs to be taken care off ..:(

I guess by now FIAT owners have become more expert then the technicians at service center, in last 3-4yrs ownership almost every part of the car has been discussed, looked in, issues found and fixed

    Linear/ Viny,

Your issues of Airbag failure message seem to be due to a simpler issue i.e. Battery not providing enough current. That's the most common cause. First please get the battery checked and get this cause rulled out.

If warning light is not glowing, more or less it's battery issue.

Mine is not random. MID message comes on every 5 minutes without fail (!) and the airbag warning light glows till the message flashes. After a few seconds, both vanishes :)
