Fiat Linea 1.4 FIRE Emotion Pack

It has been 2 months since the last TASS visit and counting....touchwood.

Warning light on MID is glowing since almost a month. The message flashed in "Check sidelight" though all sidelights and all lights are working alright. This happened earlier too. I'm not bothered and not sending car to TASS, I want to extent this away period from TASS from 2 months to further.

The long pending item on me is to update Cost of Ownership Excel of my Linea. It would take a good 3-4 hours. Will have to gather all the bills.

 

There could chances of the bulb not being the same wattage, even then this warning light comes on. The TATA guys had put Indica's tail light bulb and the warning light kept glowing. Reason being difference in wattage. Replaced it with Fiat's one and the warning light went off.

But I don't remember changing sidelight bulb. Every bulb / light is on stock. Don't know if during any TASC visits, they changed it on their own.

 

Cost of Ownership

3.5 Years...72,250 kms & counting !! My Linea drives like a charm ! In another month, would be approaching 75K kms service. Here are the exhaustive details of all services/ running repairs of my Linea till date. Had to bring out all the bills/ docs from Day 1 till date to compile this. Took me more than 8 hours to update this excel but good that I did it. There were many items which were missed in earlier sheet.

That's because 75K kms service cost (which is coming up next month) is not yet added. Cost per km would increase post that.

Will check it. You mean only the cost of labour, engine oil, fuel , ACC & air filter's (without any other work done or part replaced in the same scheduled service e.g. Brake Pads?). Right?

1st time the Central Fascia panel (where Hazard lights etc buttons are hosted) went inside. TASC said the plug inside is fragile and got broken)

2nd time, 1-2 grills in AC vent were broken.

 

I remember that in 2009, quite a few Linea's of "Linea Gang" online reported this. TASC also acknowledged it. My Car's Fascia also went inside from Passenger side if I remember correctly.

My Linea's current Central Fascia also went inside from the passenger side 3-4 months back. However, this time my drive was hell bent on not spending money. He alongwith another driver in my office parking somehow pulled the Fascia to its original position & fixed it with FeviKwik. It's holding on till now. It's not easy to pull it outwards. I don't know how they did it. He said that they used some string or something. Central Fascia costs some 1300-odd bucks.

You were bang on target. Cost of only servicing the car i.e. just Engine Oil, fuel / pollen/ air filter's etc (excluding all other parts replacement during service) is Rs. 20,795/- for 5 Services (till 60K kms). It's less than set of 4 tyres I replaced. It might be due to the 15K kms interval.

If I take total cost spent during 5 scheduled Services (including parts replaced during service like Brake Pads etc), then the cost is Rs. 48,210/-
