If you go in bumper to bumper traffic,This happes.Don't worry much,I have achieved 6.4 kpl.I think it is something related to MID .In the condition in which you are driving,Even I-VTEC will give similar economy!

My god, what happened to traffic.

Somehow today, Bangalore traffic, in morning was free, and touched 100 KMPH inside city:D.

    Check with Windshield Experts.
Yesterday was particularly bad because of Ganpati idols being transported all over the city. My colleague started from Prabhadevi at 5.15 and reached Borivali at 8.15 (28 km in 3 hrs!). Where were you commuting from/to?
Won't happen for another couple of years. Politicians are busy exploiting real estate and worsening infrastructure at the moment.

I was on the same patch but bit longer - from Mahalaxmi to Kandivali. I reached sea link in 1.5 hours and from there it took me another 2 hours.

And no. Its not due to Ganpati. Its the same situation since last 10 days after heavy rains. The culprits are the big potholes on W.E. highway creating bottlenecks at several places. Traffic was bumper to bumper from sea link till Kandivali and may be onwards also, Crazy. Useless authorities not doing anything. Imagine the number of manhours lost, litres of precious resource of fuel burnt!

Fiat long and hard clutch makes it even worse in such scenarios

You stay in Kandivali? Where? Let's catch up sometime.
What I meant was that Ganpati had added to the traffic yesterday. Ofcourse the potholes and the lovely combination of (uneven) paver blocks with broken roads is the main culprit since last few months.
Its all a well synchronized business my friend. Such high petrol prices and unwillingness to repair roads and/or smooth out traffic only points to a conspiracy.

OT - Have you noticed the increased number of jaywalkers on WEH these days? They literally come on to the middle of the road to look out for buses/hail autos etc. That is a major reason for the traffic to slow down. Not to mention the intelligent truck/bus drivers who are adamant on using flyovers (which they cant climb) and ultimately break down when they reach the top. Cops of course are busy talking on their phone (God knows how they can even hear the other person amidst all that noise) or look the other way (remember Jog Flyover everyday?)
