Oh yeah. I'll have to do a Puja.

Sent the car today but the part (Central Fascia) was not available :( though I was ready to pay for it (Cost about Rs. 1200/- - I changed it twice 2 years back under warranty)

I'm fed up and am thinking of keeping it as it is as all the buttons are functional. Only thing is I hate to see something even smaller in the car which is not in place.

Damn! VP, seriously do get done pooja & give your babe rest for a week!! I think your Linea don't like to be touched by TASS guys. She gets pissed-up & end-up with some mishandeling!
I feeling sorry for you & your Linea man. I know how dose it feels. If hell is present on, earth it would be TASS only!! No one can give pain TASS can offer. Anyway take care of your babe.

Having a Palio in the family for the last 7 years has taught us to control our OCD about it being perfect all the time.

Unless it's something major regarding the Palio, i don't even think about any issue now. The power windows are dead, the central locking is also gone, the paint is faded. But it drives fine. :p

gurjinder - that feeling is slowly creeping in since last one year. My expectations from my Linea in terms of perfection, exterior, etc etc has nosedived and I've started ignoring small items.

    Corrected today !!! :)

Like the Rs. 3-4K worth Chrome beading with broken locking clip which I fixed myself, y'day I told my driver damn, to hell with TASS, I'll try to do it myself with adhesive. Today evening, when I was coming back from office to home, I reluctantly looked at Central Fascia expecting an eye sore sign. But a pleasant surprise, the button strip/ panel was fixed. Colleague of my driver (some other driver in office complex) pulled back the panel with help of wire & stuck it with adhesive.

    Rs. 1,200/- saved........

....and above all, what is also saved is thousands of other issues TASS would have created in my car while car would have gone there !!!!

True. The driver has saved lot of future expenses related to A.
I have some free wash coupons(at TASS) with me. Not using it with the same fear.:D

Linea looks like revolting since you are not spending time with her. Is it that more problems started when the keys are handed over to driver:D

vahan the panel with the parking hazards switch and defogger etc had gone inside in my car too. first he told me it will cost some rs then i requested him to aplly some solution and do it. he did a good job. lasted for six months or so then when it was opened again for a noise complaint he put it back with kevi kwik coming out from everywhere and messed up. but then i managed to get it under warranty this time.

    Karan,

That central fascia panel is a piece of crap. It's very delicate & fragile. I used to be extra careful while using it to open boot or to turn emergency blinkers ON. I changed it twice in the 1st year of purchase of my Linea under warranty.

Were you able to fix the central fascia?
The same thing ahppened to my car this week. My son just pressed the hazard light button and then entire panel went inside. the buttons are still working fine. I tried bringing it to position by using a double sided tape and pulling it back. Didn't work. I may have to "REPLACE" it, the mantra of every car maker these days.

Oh Yes. It's fixed with FeviKwik. I did not do it. My driver alongwith another driver friend did it. He said that they pulled the panel with the help of Screw Driver and/or string. I don't know how they did it. It surely looks tough. I'll ask my driver once he is back from leave next Monday.

It surely looks a mantra of every car maker. I've a feeling that TASS' also slowly converting themselves into money-machine like other brand service stations.
