    Araldite is my best friend :). Stuck the chrome strip with it and it does look solid. Keeping fingers crossed. If it stays, Araldite will save me about Rs. 3,000

    Any idea how other cars like vento fix the chrome. All these vehicle use the clip that is costly.

    bad luck continues. Flying stone resulting in cracks on windshield.Have to replace windshield and will get GC kit upgraded too as I am feeling that the rear absorbers are not working effectively. The rear bangs while going over potholes.The only grouse is car will be at service station for 4 - 5 days, have to claim insurance for windshield.

    ^^ Have not yet spoken to any TASS about Windshield repairs. Spending 4-5 days again without car is scaring me.

    Am going on holidays for about 10 days this month. Thinking of getting this done during that time. Only thing is car will be at TASS for about 8-10 days :( & that's worrisome. But that's the best alternative.

    Sorry to hear the damaged windshield, Amit. When we were exiting Visakhapatnam during my Bhutan trip, we were accompanied by sudden cloudburst and hailstorm. My Linea was showered with tiny ice cubes. I was really worried, but nothing happened.

    DO NOT go to TASS for windshield replacement. Instead, go to your nearest Windshield Experts. As it is, glass is 100% covered and you'll pay for only beading+labour. But the job done by WE is 10x better than ANY service center.

    I also need to get the GC upgrade done for which I need to go to TASS. Else, would have got windshield replaced thro' WE.

    Hey Amit,

    Got any information on labour charges for GC? Recently a colleague of mine gone for upgrade at Fortune, Nerul and they charged some 4400/- for GC and some bearing changed.
