Actually it IS proper detailing job including workmanship. Only difference is there is no 3M bill :).

Peeled off lacquer is not looking good. Thinking of getting the door painted when I give car for 60,000 kms service. What all things are to be taken care of in 60K kms service?

Giving car for 60,000 kms service on Monday to Fortune, Sakinaka.

Are timing belt & transmission oil to be changed at 60,000 kms service? User manual says so.

Following is the list to be given to TASC :

    • Service including all scheduled items like Engine Oil change etc
    • Check all fluids levels – Power Steering oil, Brake oil, Coolant, Engine oil, battery, AC gas etc etc
    • Put only Selenia K PETROL Engine Oil only. 3.3 to 3.5 ltrs
    • Tyre Rotation - Front to Rear on the same side i.e. Left front to Left rear – DO NOT DO “X” pattern rotation.
    • Warning light on MID glows sometimes showing check left sidelight though left sidelight is perfectly working. There is some loose connection. Pls check. If needed, pls do the proxy alignment.
    • Glove box lid – gaps visible on closing - align properly
    • Front Driver side door to be repainted with factory finish & polish
    • Paint touch ups on small scratches.
    • Check Auxiliary drive belts and accessory drive belt
    • Replace fuel filter
    • Replace air filter cartridge
    • Check & replace spark plugs
    • Check condition of toothed driving belt, check when was it replaced
    • Check & replace toothed timing drive belt
    • Check operation of engine management systems (using diagnostic socket) – ECU check – remove any errors.
    • Change Engine Oil & Replace Oil Filter
    • Check & change brake/ clutch fluid/ oil (60,000 kms service)
    • Change Pollen filter
    • Check & change transmission oil
    • Front Bumper misaligned – to be aligned with bonnet
    • Check Brake Pads. Changed Brake Pads & Brake Discs at 30,000 kms service (only 30,000 kms run after that), hence it should not require change. But pls check. If it requires change, pls check the cause of such early wear.
    • Lower beam headlight – to align slightly upwards – the beam is very low.
    • High beam headlight – to align slightly downwards – the beam goes a bit up.
    • Check Silencer Bush
    • Check Underbody for any scrapes. Check Engine Guard/ Stone Guard
    • Check Wiper Blade. Check Wiper Jet nozzle.

What about getting alignment done outside in a professional tyre shop?

That I'll do outside when I'll do tyre rotation after 2000 more kms, from the tyre shop where I purchased BridgeStone Potenza GIII.

I would ALWAYS advise all tyre related things (balancing, rotation and alignment) to be done from tyre shops only. These service centers always mess up something. I feel more confident in getting to see the tyres being rotated and aligned in front of my own eyes.

Oops. Forgot to remove the line Tyre rotation from the list. Am not getting it done from TASC. It's only 3,000 kms that I replaced tyres. WIll do it after 2,000 kms more, from outside, from the shop where I changed the tyres.

If you changed transmission oil and brake fluid @ 2 years completion than you don't need to do it now.
Don't know about Timing belt as MJD have chain instead but accessory belts (AC,power steering, alternator belts) have to be changed @ 60k kms.
