Getting detailing done thro 3M guys. Fiat stickers are damn too strong to remove. While after much efforts one side sticker is removed the other side sticker is coming out taking some patches of lacquer. :(

3M guys have done an amazing job & turned a 3 year & 60,000 kms "old" car into a new Shining Car. :D

The same is true for Interior as well. Too Good. Seat Covers have become "new". They have done detailing covering every nook & corner of the interior including AC vents & the Bumper Grills.

The only heartburn & the major eyesore is the driver side door from where the Fiat sticker took off lacquer coating from some patches while removing the sticker  Damn Fiat Stickers were too strong to remove. I think the glue was quite strong. Now I've to find some solution. Any ideas, guys? there are 2 big patches & hence something has to be done.

    Some pics....

That is some excellent stuff Amit. How much did they charge? Also did you see what all products they used?

He charged Rs. 1800/- :) and did it at my home. Thanks are due to Grandeur who referred these guys. He used all 3M Products - Rubbing Compound, Paste Wax & above all, APC (All Purpose Cleaner). I liked this APC stuff. It's waterbased solution for interior detailing. It cleaned Seat Covers quickly & thoroughly. My Linea's seat covers were off-color, dirty & were not completely cleaned after many attempts.

Talk to an experienced painter or at the TASS. About re-clearcoating the door after rubbing the older clear coat.

If it's not too much of an eyesore, just let it be.

    Cheers.

Amit 3M fellows work is really commendable & I feel price wise it is pretty cheap for the kind of work they have done.

At least for your Linea time can reverse. Gone back to childhood again.
Do the cost include 6 months free inspection also?

This guy use 3M products, no official 3M detailing service was involved.

Right now, it looks too much of an eyesore. Shall let a few days go by to see the effect.

Bang on. Only thing is that **** was not well & he sent somebody else.

After reading the price of Rs 1800, I had my jaw wide open! I was about to call 3M and book a package!

So this is not a proper detailing job eh? Is this then similar to the polishing work carried out at a malls etc?

There is another service in Mumbai which compares to 3M (in terms of equipment and time spent), which is Kamyo, and they charge about 4-5k for a complete detailing package (interior+exterior). 3M should be atleast equal, if not more than Kamyo.

Then there is Mazda Motors (Parvez) who does a fabulous job and puts the wet-gloss effect on your car. But I've heard his prices are quite premium.
