    • One of the very senior management staff in our office sat in my Linea yday. This is his 2nd visit to my Linea. His earlier comments were mentioned in this thread earlier. He currently has a Honda CRV & seems to be a Honda fan had NHC earlier. Immediately after getting in the car after placing his laptop in the rear seat opening rear door, he said, "solid car hai, the door and all is solid". Apparently, the sound of the door closing seems to have made this effect.

    • While I traveled to Kerala last week, I had an opportunity to travel in DZire. 2 things I noticed. The boot is wafer thin & you can lift it with a finger only - not more than 1 finger is required !! This feels extreme after one got used to Linea's heavy boot.

However, The AC in DZire is fantastic. It cools pretty quick & is very effective. Seems the light metal is coming to the foray here.[/*:m:2vzzst8i]

    1. That is what everybody says about Linea after sitting in it.
    2. Only boot is not wafer thin try lifting its bonnet. It takes muscles to lift bonnet of Linea and you cant hold it too long without using the rod.

Strange I found AC of Linea better than Swift. I think you have still not updated ECU of linea for better cooling that is required for petrol cars. Mine is a diesel and it chills the cabin in no time. At nights and morning I have to up temperature by few degress to be comfortable. (Normally its set around 22-24 degrees)
It might also be that Dzire was not the top model hence no ACC and Compressor was running on all the time. Try running ACC of Linea in Lo mode and you would be shivering from cold after sometime.
Your profile wrongly states that you have Linea Dynamic Petrol kindly correct it.
One thing I like about Swift and Dzire is that their factory installed speakers are better than the one's in Linea.

Yeah. I've yet not done the ACC ECU update
Yes. It was not the top-end model. Not ACC but it was Manual AC.

I think when it comes to AC, its the nature of ACC that makes Linea cooling look slower and hence inefficient. It takes the ACC precious few seconds, I would say upto a minute to gauge the inside air temperature from various points and send signal to fan to increase speed. IIRC, it takes good 40-45 seconds for the fan to reach max speed and that time is sufficient for passengers to complaint about ineffectiveness of ACC. In the HVAC, on the other hand, you can straightaway set the fan speed to max and all you will get is cold air. I might be wrong, just a thought.

You are correct. Fan Speed in ACC increases gradually. It doesn't start at full speed. It increases gradually from 1 to higher speeds.
Only time people complained about AC ineffectiveness was when my Pollen Filter was choked badly.(Wish Linea even have a light and warning message to warn about Pollen Filter getting choked. Wouldn't it be just great feature?)

What I do is that initially, I switch on the ACC, then manually increase the speed of blower(1-2dot below max. Max is too noisy) and decrease temp to 18-19*C in re-circulation mode. This cools the cabin just like manual HVAC at a very fast rate.
After 30-40secs, I also direct air to foot level as well if there are passengers at the back so that those sitting at the back may find it relaxing when cool air directly blows on their feet. Cool air directly falling on some body part is relaxing even if cabin temp is high like in a car parked in sun for sometime.

That senior mgt. staff again sat in my Linea 2 days back. Again as soon as he sat in the car after placing his bag in rear, he remarked "solid fancy car hai". Then we travelled in Mumbai B2B traffic on potholed road for 3-4 kms. When he left, he again said "its a fantastic car" then after getting down he paused for a second & asked the price. When I said Rs. 8 lacs on road, he said "the car is even better than Honda". (He hasn't even seen Blue & Me demo/ at work  . Last time when he sat in my car, he asked me "Why didn't you buy a Honda"

    HaHaHa.
You should have definitely pressed that Microsoft button that even Fiat is not pushing in their Ads. The reaction is worth noticing.

Yup that Microsoft button is great as a show off and quite useful too.
I use it every-time even if not needed just to show off some brilliant features of Italian Beauty. People see me like he has gone mad and tallking to a car and when they see the car obeying the command they just have to say one thing "Yaa Car To Ghani Shaani Hai batlaawe bhi hai yaa toh". ( It is a very intelligent car it can even talk to people)
