Apparently the 4c is highly fuel efficient too as a result of the 1.75 tbi direct injection turbo 240odd bhp etc and especially the low low weight: 34odd mpg they say! Amazing for a vehicle that has properly 'supercar' performance. btw this engine has always in various iterations outgunned the 1.8tsi from the vw/audi group: and still does by a distance. There is a version of it now that delivers about 350 bhp and massive torque WITH good emissions and fe. The engine may not be made much more, though, nor offered on other future Alfa-s: for that there are the new 2 litre DI multiair turbopetrols (so far with 200hp, 280 hp and a 350 hp 48v mild hybrid version coming soon.) One wonders whether they will make a concession or ten to 'luxury' sportscar tastes and do a version of the 4c that is full of squishy plastic and heavy nvh suppression, 'softer' suspension etc?
