Effect of CWG and Ayodhya verdict? No more excuse please, remove all the good old Dadus sitting on top of Fiat and bring in some IIMs who knows Branding, good market research and proper QA

skoda's numbers are even lesser, hmmm, only solace!
The kind of car PUNTO is SWIFT shouldn't be selling at all, which is not happening
The kind of car LINEA is SX4 or DEZIRE shouldn't sell, which is again not happening

Just saw it. What are Skoda sales figures btw? And how did other manufacturers performed?
Even Toyota Fortuner at 20lacs outsold a 6-7lac rupee car. Outstanding.

Here is the post at teambhp.

Logan Sales , I think it is because of the discounts & frebees offered to sell of the stocks. People who have bought the same what will they do over a period of time for spares. :?:

Also Logan is used by fleet operators e.g Meru cabs etc .. btw why are FIAT numbers so low is it only because of ASS ? If yes then TATA should also sell in similar numbers as ASS is shared which isn't happening.

    Fiat India - Sales

    FIAT India:

    --Your products are good.
    --Dealers are ok types.
    --Service is satisfactory

Hire some IIM grads. Fiat India 'performance' can be a good case study for them. Hope some quick action plan is out from Fiat soon.

    ALL THE BEST FIAT.

i think Fiat Italy and India shud look into this seriously. bring about following changes:
1.Standardize 90 MJD across variants. Punto 76 bhp shud be priced at the current Palio Stile MJD price.
2.Improve Fit & Finish by leaps & bounds.
3.Market it very effectively. Rope in a Super Celebrity to Promote this.
4.Hire some IIM grads or a change in guards for Fiat India.

A large chunk of the i20 sales is contributed i20 Magna variant. I see very few Asta variants on Chandigarh roads.
Hyundai has placed their lower variants very smartly. Earlier there was a Magna/Asta/Asta(O).

They launched Era/Magna/Sportz/Asta/Asta(O) and the sales started zooming. Why? Because Era/Magna/Sportz are VFM as compared to Asta that looks overpriced to a typical car buyer.

Similarly, it's the Punto Active MJD that is seen 85% of the time.
But, Fiat is not learning. No need to standardize 90hp variant and 76hp version can't sell for Palio Stile's price without becoming Pungo(Figo).

    Imagine Fiat Punto Active with:
    - Silver center console
    - manual central locking
    - Chrome speedo dials like the ones in Dynamic/Emotion/Emotion pack
These two features to be added without raising the price.

Discontinue Punto Dynamic(unfortunately people do not see it as VFM)
Instead make it Active option pack where we get:
    - All four power windows
    - Dual tone interiors
These two features at an extra cost of 10k.

    Questions for TFIans:
    1. Do you guys think it is impossible to do this?
    2. How much it will cost Fiat to provide silver center console in Active? Does it cost in thousands? Of course manual central locking is a norm for such a premium hatch. These are not big demands. Fiat is cutting cost in a simple silver plastic.
    3. How hard is it to provide dual tone interiors in Punto Dynamic(Active option pack)? Will it cost them thousands? I'm just asking for 2 additional power windows for 10k which is adequate.

    Impact:
Making the above two changes will allow Punto Active/dynamic to compete with i20 Magna because Magna has dual tone interiors which look better than all black interiors of Active/Dynamic.

But, Fiat thinks that doing this may lead people to settle with Active/Dynamic instead of Emotion/E-pack. They do not understand that it is the Active and Dynamic variants that have a huge potential but Fiat is nailing itself because of ignorance.

but the biggest question is that will Fiat India listen to us. or will it keep sleeping away to glory like they have been doing all this while. they seem to be happy suppling engines to tata and maruti. Fiat Italy shud look into this.
