If some of you are not aware, the Fiat Palio Stiles are still available to book. I have booked one. I heard from a Palio Users Group member who are sometimes in touch with Fiat say that Fiat has received around 750 bookings (3-4 weeks ago) for the 2010 Palio Stile which is made to order. Bookings are still open. I wonder if it has reached the 1000 mark now. I know, all these are really happening due to the 1 lakh price slash. But surely, these would reflect well in the Sales figures when they eventually manufacture and deliver.

Ravi looks like people are waiting for the T-JET to arrive ... 1812 is bit disturbing though

Lower sales for Fiat are definitely an awakening call for FTATA, although Tata's increase is purely due to Nano (8000 odd units). Only one thing comes to mind, pricing. Fiat has to reposition itself in the 3.5 to 6 lac market effectively. That is the market where volumes are available and will continue to grow. Having "most powerful hatch" costlier than a few sedans is not going to help the cause of Punto.

What remains to be seen: Whether 1litre (preferably multiair) nuevo uno will debut India? and whether Fiat will change course to sheer power with 1.4Tjet and 1.6 diesel.

its pretty surprising figures. Fiat is not doing that badly as it appears. Punto figures had actually picked up last month. a break up of sales figures must be interesting. it seems Punto is facing problems due to figo. Fiat shud come up with the india specific small sooner than 2012. may be this year end or early next year. why Palio is facing such a bad fate is still unknown. people still love the car but Fiat doesnt just want to revieve it. a fresh exterior and interior shud do wonders to the car and win back the confidence of customers.even with mind blowing cars and engines, Fiat is just getting an average sell. wake up Fiat India, plz.

Considering Fiat had a new launch in 90hp the figures are rather disappointing. New, better and more frequent ads are not showing any improvement in the sales chart either. People waiting for TJet does not seem to be a good excuse because others have bettered their sales figures, it could also mean since TJet has not arrived people have moved to other options. The number of Fiat enthusiast waiting for the TJet will not be huge enough to work wonders to the sales figure either. I am not a strategic analyst, and there should be well paid and intelligent analysts at FIAPL, they should be having sleepless nights if the numbers don't improve soon or at least float around the 2000-2400 range.

atleast we are having sleepless nights. all the stratergies need to reworked. pricing has to be more aggressive. i strongly believe that Punto 76 HP shud be priced at 4.5 lakhs or a new varients shud come up with PW & PS only. Punto 90 HP shud be standardized across all varients. no point in placing it so high. with a price tag of 5 lakhs +, it shud appeal more to the masses. Punto has got to reach to volume segment to take on its rivals.

apart from lowering the prices i think Fiat shud start seperate dealers for it self. it cannot depend on Tata for improving its sales figures they just want Fiat's technology-MJD & MJD-II. dont delay the new launches. get new products soon-small car for india, uno and palio. plz Fiat work hard and wake up.

Definately FIAT should have seperate showrooms for their products, should not mingle with TATA's.

When I first went to the Showroom to see the Linea, I was told by the receptionist to see the Manza. If FIAT & TATA products are in the same showroom, for a person who it is going to be the first car the prices of a Manza or an Indica Vista should be lucrative. So atleast there should be seperate enterences & personal for FIAT & TATA. Then I think we can see a considerable increase in sales of FIAT cars.
