I guess they will be getting data from SIAM, no one can guess and make up these data, consistently. And if they put anything wrong, manufactures can always claim.

So we can add the comfirmed deliveries of 500 Avventura to the october sale:
    Evo - 1238
    Linea - 130
    Avventura - 500+

    Total - 1868

Seems new Linea is not liked by market, and already low sales of Linea became almost negligible now.
However Punto EVO is able to maintain the numbers, at-least till now.

Good to see the eternal back-bencher, FIAT, has climbed up the ladder from the lowest step to the third one from the bottom, even without Avventura numbers. Hope, the uptrend continues in future too. But the crore-rupee question is, will a broad-minded, wealthy employer come forward every month for buying FIAT cars in bulk for giving them away as bonus to his/her employees? biggrin.gif

If we take out that 400 odd cars then its sorry figure.

I also agree that if Fiat is not serious about linea's performance then its better to kill it.

On a side note, I was talking to a Tata dealer rep. recently and he claimed that while Aria sales are not so high, Storme sells more than XUV :wtf:! . So you hear all kinds of things.
Its a different matter (for a different thread) whether Storme should or shouldnt sell more than XUV.

Expected much better numbers for EVO, keeping aside the 500 generous gifts, its a sorry state.
And Linea was killed when they launched half cooked new version and made old version as strip down classic.
If its finding a buyers in a current market its a surprise.

Frankly this is a very sad performance. Leave the 450 EVO's as that is a one off number and will not happen every month. So this is probably closer to Sep numbers or less. We may not agree in this forum but no manufacturer can sustain itself with that kind of numbers. FIAT might be making money by selling engines but then they definitely do not share those profits with the dealers.
It is kind of sad, but a Swift that gets a 0 start rating in a NCAP test sells 15 times as much as the entire Fiat portfolio on an average.
(Though to be honest, the lower variants of Punto would also get a zero due to lack of airbags.)

It is up to Fiat to do what they think is correct. I will not comment again on the same stuff but trying to bring in a Abarth for 20 lakhs or Grand Cherokee for 30 to 40 will have no impact on volume or brand image and also the speed at which they move is ridiculous.

In India groundbreaking is either mileage or engine specs - no matter the performance in the real world. A 500 X looking vehicle maybe, some radical designs. They may still fail, but they are going no where now :(

    Linea 1.3
actually Linea facelift should have been a 120+ PS and 25+ kmpl for Mjd (either 1.3/1.5/1.6 whater ever it may be)
along with reverse parking sensors and camera as standard.
there was a chance to make it alive and say hello to life, but fiat missed this chance.
actually kmpl figures are important to enthusiats public also, in one thread on Team BHP only 1% people said they would consider a not a fuel efficient car.
so accordingly FIAT has a less than 1% market share, may this seems harsh but it is reality.

no it won't be zero for lower variants of punto....please check the ref picture below for the active variant punto....it will be at least 1.

just think how just launched Ciaz a c segment sedan from MS about 50 kilos lower than punto will perform in the test??....and 17000 bookings for them majority for lower variants where air bag is not present , where people are spending (7 to 10 lac) without looking after the safety aspect.
