    Yes. The exterior is so unique that it sometimes beats the looks of even Mercedez and BMW.
    In fact there is no need of any facelifts. Just Advtz. aggressively whatever features they has? And cars will start selling like hot cakes.
    If there is a need it is a small car below 3 Lakhs, may be 01 SUV like 'Freemont' to give refreshing products from FIAT.

  3. all the videos and links posted are pretty old.
    there is absolutely nothing from FIAPL's side about car launch since a year or so.

    Times are going to get very tough for Fiat India's both models:

    Linea:

    - City prices have been slashed by a big margin. Unheard off from Honda in India. May or may not be a marketing gimmick, but people are going to fall hook , line & sinker for it.

    - Vento already doing strong thanks to a fantastic diesel engine and premium brand image.

    - Fully loaded Verna launched - again with better engines, better interior's and almost as good features as Linea if not more. Again, Hyundai has a better image then Fiat so that adds to the desireablitiy. Looks aren't bad too.

    - New Fiesta to be launched this month. The only 'Fiat exclusive' feature that Linea & Punto could boast of - Blue&Me will be negated when Ford launches the Fiesta. Ford's system is also voice based and it even works for the radio! Rest assured, Ford is going to shout from the roof tops about this new 'first in segment' feature and all that Fiat will respond with, is deathly silence.

    Grande Punto:

    - The king of hatchbacks is coming in a new avtaar. New Swift will be out in a month or two.

    - Etios Liva is out. It may be barebones but it's going to sock it real bad to the Punto's.

    - God forbid if Honda reduces the prices of the Jazz.

    - the nuclear blast for the Punto will be the Etios diesel.

    With the chilling silence from Fiat amid all of this action in the ONLY segments they are present in, it's not going take too long before the sales of both these 'flagship' Fiat models falls to double digits.

    No use if Fiat India wakes up now. It's already too late.

    Fiat India's umpteenth comeback has, as expected, FAILED. Let's wait for them to make another comeback. And fail again!

    Amit very true post. We are the only people who are promoting FIAT in INDIA. FIAT does not care about its performance in INDIA. They are happy with low sales.

    If you check the new about new car which is going placed under Punto. That will be launched in 2012. Can you beat that.

    The market is booming with launch of new cars with powerful diesel engine & FIAT is doing nothing except those crappy lucky offers. I dont think UPGRADATION OFFER will help FIAT to increase the sales for the month of JULY.

    I am waiting to have a look of sales figures for month of JULY for FIAT INDIA.
  6. New model again create burden on Fiat pocket (party, advt, training etc.), so they may need good numbers, If new model fail again than, What. In general mas not preferring very new models due there bugs & time tested performance, if they start offering good spare availability in capitals and open Palio MJD 1.3 SDX to mas on current discounted prices, they will get good numbers instantly.

    In such low volumes (<10 monthly), they are offering Palio SDX in such a competitive price, definitely they get more margin on little higher volumes.

    You can think like this, if you own a 15 yr old car which is running fine without much trouble then keep it instead of spending lacs on new one, insurance will be low, EMI will be 0. Just that don't take it for really long trips, play safe.

    just my 5 cents on this topic.

    The Tatas are completely dependent on Fiat for their engines & so are many other Indian cars running on Fiat's popular MJDs. Hence Fiat's long term commitment to its India operations looks stable. Its been just 2-3 years since Fiat made a big comeback with Punto & Linea in the Indian market, they seem happy to be consolidating with low volumes in car sales with the TATA JV & the engine sales seems to be the primary thrust in a already crowded Indian Automobile market.

    The New Brand Stores opening up in various metros & Fiat India CEO's recent interview about a small car for India is defiantly promising. Being a multi billion $ conglomerate, i am sure Fiat have put in a lot of thinking about their long term Indian Operations. Having said that, i think Fiat's dormant media & marketing campaigns is really puzzling.

    Just read my signature. It speaks everything.
    FIAT, Italy has to divert Advt. budget to FIAL from FPT, Ivco, Auto spares (Something like Garnelli (not sure)).
    If their Advt budget is proportional to car sales then it will be a vicious circle that they will never come out.
    At least 01 full year they have to advt aggressively in all medias and see the magic how FIAT cars will selling like hot cakes.
    But who will tell them???????

    its too late for aggressive adt. it might help a bit not much. if linea did not sell well when it was the best option in the segment, how can one expect it to sell now when the competition is way ahead and better than linea.
