    I have a doubt.

When performance car like linea t-jet bombed catastrophically then what chances does fiat evo Abarth has ?

Even Vw withdrew 1.6 petrol Polo which was a blast o drive in that segment!

  2. For starters if multijet which has been the best diesel engine(national engine) in India for the last few years, what wonders can the multijet 2 do.
When a product fails its not necessary for other products to fail, the time wasnt right the last time..Now Fiat is really concentrating on the Indian market,we can see their dedication reflected in their course of action(seperating from Tata for starters, then opening Fiat dedicated showrooms, service centres).
Lets hope these new products help Fiat to dominate our Indian market.

Why to predict when Fiat clearly mentioned what they will launch and when.
No Punto planned for 2013, second half. New Punto and New Linea will come in 2014 only.

I agree that according to the time lines released by fiat we are going to get "All New Linea" by beginning of 2014. Does it also mean that Multijet-II also going to make its way in to india??

IF Fiat plays their card's right, there will be one HUGE difference between the Abarth car's and the TJet Linea's and Polo 1.6.

That difference is that Fiat can position the Abarth shamelessly as performance car's, the Abarth Punto's and Linea's will not only look the part but also have the go in them to back up their claims of having performance. Hence prospective buyer's needn't be told what to expect from their car's. The looks of the car's scream performance and buyer's will automatically & psychologically lower their expectation's of fuel efficiency without realising what they did!

Neither the Linea TJet nor the Polo were neither positioned as performance car's nor did they have the looks to back them up.

Despite the kitna deti hain mentality of Indian buyer's, I feel a company can still convince them to plonk their money for a car like the Abarth. Of course, you have to sell the car intelligently. That's something the American's excel in. Maybe Fiat needs help from Chrysler in more areas then they think!
